After serving time for murdering police officers, Ruth is released early. Now 35, Ruth returns to her hometown to find her younger sister.
From prison to sum... Quite dynamic and capacious drama with elements of a thriller. A story about people, social stereotypes and the power of character. Fortunately, there are no sketches of prison life, which Russian directors like to savor. Everything in British restrained, sometimes even harsh, without unnecessary movements. With all this, the film is interesting and exciting, from the series “there is something to think about”. Along with the story itself, I liked the character Sivan Finneran (I didn’t know the actress). In some places, the comic, sometimes tough aunt was not afraid to admit her own mistakes.

Bottom line: I recommend, I recommend.

The life of the main character Ruth, was not too “fun”, after she was released early from prison. In the city, many hated her, tried to mutilate her for her actions, and some even tried to kill her.

But she managed, even managed to make some friends, if you can call them that, who did not see her as a murderer, only saw a person who needed support and help.
The film is strong, touches on many aspects of life after prison, about how strong a character it takes to do what the heroine did, about guilt, about choice, a very interesting plot, and yes, you will be surprised and discouraged.

I am amazed by the actors who so organically fit into this picture.

3 series, of which the second sags and is not necessary to view, but the third is stunned, like a strong blow to the teeth from where you do not expect.
At first it seems that the film is about social adaptation (as stated in the description), but there is a line that strengthens with the action: about the inner core, and the difficult but very strong choice of the main character, about the Deed.
Friends, the rating is not in vain. The stars are well deserved.

You could tell a story in film format, but then the action would sag in the middle, with the series a little easier.
