It's getting worse. . The former con artist is released from prison after serving 25 years. He tries to start all over again, but the son of his former partner, suddenly appeared out of nowhere, says that the main character owes him a debt - after all, for the murder of his father, the hero Jackson served 25 years. Now he has to pull off the last scam. .
I didn't want to see this movie, but someone here praised it. In the beginning, nothing foreshadowed trouble. The film did seem normal, but the first crime scene raised doubts. In it, a mafia rose from a bottle of champagne soaked some crook. The problem is that the murder process itself was not shown, and the voice-over was squeaking, like in an amateur deshmar. But I decided to wait, then it seems to be fine, but again the battle scene - Jackson hits a man in the toilet on the sink - and again the persistent effect of dashmare - the twitching of the camera, the washed-out moment of contact, the strange sound of the blow. Well, then - a surprise on the surprise - and not the surprise - when unexpected and pleasant, but just the opposite, when everything is worse and worse and no longer happy that vaapestly went to open this box. Now, the writer and the director didn't come up with anything better than making some cheap Oldboy-Mechanic hybrid, but without the philosophical stuff and the Oldboy fights and the Mechanic shooting. It turned out, as you know, very bad, sometimes even disgusting. Jackson's latest work reminds me very much of Cage's latest work - it goes right up the nostril. The distinguishing feature of the films involving both actors is a good start, an interesting start, then there is a full understanding that this is a failure and to top it off, as proof of a bad feeling - a crushing catastrophic failed ending. A hungry rabbit attacks and Samaritan is filmed in this way. It's a shame that a great actor like Jackson would be in this kind of trash. The last movie worth making with him was Limited Dawn, and I’m afraid the trend is that he might be the last movie of his career (aah, the Avengers are about to come out).
