Mauro Bologini as Lovers This film by Bologna is a graphic illustration of such a situation when you do everything right and dignified, and no one really needs the result. This cute film is a collection of stories from several young guys. The focus is on a poor Italian quarter from which it is not so easy to escape. Here everyone behaves as he wants, but within the given limits.
I made a mistake. It was my duty not to lose my head and to know how old I was. I married you right away so you wouldn't change your mind. And here I am old and tired, and you are young and beautiful.
Mauro Bolognini created a very lively, colorful film filled with successful dialogues and expressions. But here's the bad luck. In the same year came a very similar story and style film. Fellini took it off. The movie was called "Mother's Sons." Each of the situations in the master was voluminous, ambiguous, and the portraits of each of the characters come to life when viewed even today. If Bolognaini created a cute summer hit, Fellini had a whole simony. It is impossible not to compare, and any comparison does not favor Don Mauro. Fellini's work was too good that year.
The paradox is that Franco Interlenghi played the main role in both films. His participation seemed to confirm the identity of both tapes.
What is Lovers? These are stories of young people trying to live and not too correlated with their actions. They act as if by instinct mired in miscalculations, betrayals and scandals. But at the same time, they cannot be blamed for boredom. The author only opened the door to their turbulent life. Only a few days, and already so many things. Cheatings, quarrels, scuffles, cut off hair...
