It could have been better. Scott Kane, a former killer, although as you know there are no former killers, began a new life. When his 6-year-old has heart problems and urgently needs surgery, Kane goes to his former employer to borrow money. But people like that don't give money, and Kane has to go back to his bloody past.
Well, the movie was pretty mediocre. It seems that the plot is interesting, I would even say unconventional, because the film begins with two pieces from the middle, and then the initial twist begins. So, the plot, although standard, but kind of good. He is very typical of the militants of the second category, the so-called B-level. Everything would be fine, but something is missing, some drive.
Morgan, Kane's former boss, was very annoying. His motives remain unclear to me. He's a tough criminal grandpa. Why do you think I should be putting Kane up?
That’s not how this movie got me. No, it's not boring (well, except for a couple of episodes in the hospital). There are fights, the truth did not say that very well executed, interesting twists of plots. It would seem that everything you need for a strong action movie, but the film did not come.
To the most filming group of claims just at the minimum. The light, the sound, the picture, it's all good. Music could be more dynamic in some places.
The actors are also kind of average, gray. They seem to play their roles well, but something is wrong. I can't even explain it.
Drew Feller, the performer of the role of Kane, 10 years ago starred in a good action movie The Last Contract. But for the role of a cool (at least, as the film says) killer, I think he is not suitable. It was a good performance.
The rest and I will not single out, very mediocre and on the face, and acting.
Ben Gurley, the writer and director of this film, was a bit weak in this field. We should get some experience. Although on the other hand, I repeat that the film has everything for an action movie, I just did not like it very much.
As a result, a medium-quality action movie about a father who must at any cost get the money for the operation of his son. It could have been a better film. The film can and will get its viewer, but if you miss it, you will not lose anything.
P.S. My friend, after watching this movie, called it “rotten”.
