The film was happy, the reality was upset. I came across this film by accident. I was looking at Razumovskaya’s filmography and suddenly saw the interesting name of Sect. I decided to watch the first part, thinking that if you do not like it, you can always turn it off. I'm really glad I did. The film was very instructive and exciting. It's just too realistic.
The picture tells about a very pressing problem of all mankind - sects. Most people know little about them. Moreover, countries where human rights, such as freedom of religion, have a specific weight, the authorities cannot effectively combat sects, although they actively try at the state level. In many other countries, sects are so deeply rooted that authorities take action only for the sake of appearance, and in fact they have no desire to contact them or cover them themselves. This is a very difficult question.
There were sects everywhere. Unfortunately, they are very easy to attract people. The reality is that all people have problems and their weaknesses: someone does not have a family, someone does not have a job or money is not enough, someone has lost their loved ones, someone has everything together. And it is at this convenient moment that the sectarians lure their victim, and the leader begins brainwashing. Once, twice, as long as necessary for complete submission. The head of the sect, the leader, the teacher - they call themselves differently, but the meaning is the same - a person with amazing persuasion skills, charisma, patience, acting skills and, of course, business acumen, since the sect is nothing more than a business that brings huge income to the leader and his assistants. After all, under a veil of sympathy and help, they rob people who have fallen to them, forcing them to turn away from their families and loved ones. The goal is always the same - to have power over them, over their resources, to have everything they have, down to reason.
In this picture, the leader was played by Dmitry Isayev, fully fitting into this difficult role, showing a typical leader of the sect, who is considered a saint, whose words and deeds are beyond doubt.
Throughout the film, I have been amazed at the absurdity of human obedience. How far a man is willing to go for the sake of truths invented by someone. How to open his eyes, to awaken his mind, where is the line after which he will cease to obey? Among my entourage there are many people who are members of various religious sects. They are sure that they are in the mind, and that in this sect they are understood and accepted, helped and sympathized. How can they not understand that in this world no one does anything for nothing? This is an absurdity that will probably continue to exist as long as man exists. This film can be very instructive for those who know little about sects or believe that they are harmless. Unfortunately, it will not help the sectarians themselves, for they do not watch such heresy, and even if they look, they do not recognize that this is about them.
The movie is worth watching. Filmed very interesting, boring, dynamic. The main thing is to always know where faith ends, in all things, and destructive fanaticism begins, which is no less terrible than the very end of mankind. Do not push away your loved ones in a difficult moment for them, you may not notice how you will lose them forever.
