The Rise of Housewive Robots In this fantastic comedy, Alberto Sordi told the story of the relationship between men and women against the background of the interaction of an ardent man and a cold-looking woman car. During a business trip to the United States, Italian businessman Enrico (Sordi) on the advice of a friend bought an electronic housekeeper Katerina for $ 160,000. “I won’t tell you what a mess it was! Discussions, quarrels, blackmail and the house is always a mess. I'm calm now! - assures the friend. But there is a hidden sadness in his eyes.
Returning home, Enrico kicks out the maid. His wife and mistress leave, but for other reasons. Enrico is happy! But only until Katherine gets jealous. The robot, you know, has its own claims.
Unfortunately, Alberto Sordi as a director did not always manage to reach the same heights as in acting. At first, the film is a funny satire of feminists and chauvinists. But with the advent of the robot, Katerina turns into some kind of low-budget scab. And Sordi's acting can no longer protect the audience from yawning.
I also learned that Italian is taught in this film. And in Bergamo there is a hotel with the same name - "Io e Caterina".
