It's all this. From the very first minutes of the film, you can pay more attention to getting used to the format of the shooting than what the film tries to convey to the viewer. It seems that the actors are not trying, and the plot is written completely inept. And this feeling will not pass until the very end, if the viewer does not understand: the whole picture is presented in the light of surrealism.
Probably, all this “parallel world”, similar to a dream, is a forced measure of the creators of the “Cursed” to achieve maximum atmosphericity with a minimum budget and weak shooting skills. By the way, it worked out. From here we can find an explanation for everything that happens on the screen: the obvious detachment of the characters in conversations or monologues, all the inexplicable teleportations of the characters and, of course, the feature of the shooting. The sooner you guess about the unreality of what is happening, the more interesting it will be to watch the film.
Of the minuses - absolutely unnecessary in any horror movies dynamic soundtracks! Also, in my opinion, the long monolithic walks of the main character are superfluous. They could be cut easily without any loss. However, such disadvantages are more than compensated by the desire of the filmmakers to self-improvement and high attention to the reaction of the audience. I am sure they will read my review and draw the right conclusions.
Anyway, I wish good luck to these people! If they have more money, more experience and less effort, they can make a lot of good Russian movies.
