1991. Salman in striped sweaters, Ayesha Julka as a village simpleton... O my God, where are you, my youth, where is serenity and pure feeling? Where does all this go? i>
In Hindi, Kurbaan is the victim, not the beloved. Apparently, it was implied that the two lovers were a victim of discord (and I did not understand why, some nerds in the past, when you just had to sit down and talk, and not immediately grab the gun). So we have a typical Bollywood movie of that time with a lot of nonsense, with a lot of dancing, with bandits and policemen, friendship and betrayal, and of course with two lovers, like Romeo and Juliet in Bollywood. In a nutshell, the arrangement between the families was as follows: their fathers, Prithvi and Suraj (Sunil Dutt and Kabir Bedi) were friends 20 years ago, but then, because of a piece of land, the brother of a policeman (who is vile) killed almost the entire Prithvi family, and rushed. Their children grew up, fell in love, and the whistling began with rivers of blood, murders and wringing of hands, all as it should be.
Salman is so young and very pretty. He's paired up here with Aesha Djulka, who I'm really into, but I like her here. Nice couple. I did not like only one-voice translation, which clearly translated some words incorrectly. In general, there were a lot of blunders and stupidities, but everything paid off with the sincerity of the game and reckless behavior. Even on the face of Salman Ayesha beat quite sincerely - I was outraged at first, and then I think - so it's him, it's him from the excess of feelings (when she on the car without brakes rushed)! And produced this minus in the plus of the movie (usually I do not like when women are hit, if anything).
According to the rest of the actors, I was surprised to see Ranjit, who appeared as a singer at the fair. It is very strange to see him not killing anyone, not raping anyone, etc.
Well, there is nothing to say about Sunil Dutt, he, as always, is the most righteous and with a burning eye, as well as his friend-tir-enemy, Kabir Bedi, who filmed here in the heyday of his male beauty. It was nice to see it in its natural form, but now it is all over Botox and fillers. The final was very tense - crocodiles (apparently Kabiru Bedi so they have since the time of the time). The thirst for revenge liked that he dragged them into this film, destroyed bridges, exploding bombs, guns, angry parents, enemies of a century ago, unraveling confusion ... By the end, I was already so worried about lovers - well, I think they will be killed according to the script, others as a warning. No, it's fine.
Very nice music, clips, though in the village style, but liked. The strongest scene, in my opinion, is when Salman and Aesha meet for the first time at the fair and then look for each other.
I definitely advise all lovers of Sal, and just those who love old Indian films about love and revenge.
