Classic youth comedy, in which the main element are numerous girls in bikinis and topless. The problem, or rather the film's weakness, lies in the plot. By the way, this is the main reason why I like erotic and pornographic films before 2000. If such a problem is peculiar to erotic / pornographic films, in which the plot does not play an important role, then in comedy films this problem is even more relevant. So what about the plot? The plot, you can say, there is, but you can make the opposite statement by saying that it is not here. It all depends on how you look at it. The film depicts a typical plot/stories of the pastime of two friends on the background of a student summer vacation. The scene is Malibu Beach. These two friends meet, respectively, two friends, after which the four begin their adventures. So when I wrote that the presence or absence of the plot is extremely subjective, I was referring to these summer adventures that are riding around the city in a car like an American military jeep, but noticeably redesigned. For me personally, there is no plot in the film, but perhaps other viewers will see in these adventures the plot of a youth comedy. Yes, there are similar films released around the same time, where the story is even worse (“Die Bodies” (1984)), but there are also those in which the plot is clearly traced (Beach Girls (1982)). In short, I lacked an interesting story or an interesting story. This is the main and only drawback of this film. But the era of the 80s is shown quite well, however, exclusively from the point of view of the erotic component.
Although there are not many explicit scenes in the film, there are enough for comedy to be defined as an erotic comedy. Since in overwhelming cases (i.e., with the exception of documentaries and thrillers) I watch movies with an erotic component, I will say a few words about this. Although there are about 5-6 erotic scenes in the film (mostly topless), the very spirit of the film and numerous scenes from the beach contribute much more to the eroticism of this film. And in general, everything is filmed qualitatively and without tear, so characteristic of directors, when they are eager to show the nude. Here, eroticism is presented in a natural form, which is characteristic of well-made comedies, and not with an emphasis on NY. From this point of view, the film is not bad. Of course, the main thing in this regard is the choice of actresses. I was surprised (or even surprised) by them. The fact is that all the actresses in this film with perfect figures. I don’t know how they made these shapes, but it’s safe to say that in this movie we have girls in bikinis with perfect figures. On top of that, they are generally pretty cute. And also very natural topless scenes. All this in the end makes the film very hot in terms of youth comedy and if not for a weak plot, the film would have turned out great. Oh yes, the music in the film is excellent, very well emphasizing just that era of the 80s (its beginning).
