The film that ended in the summer What features of the film itself, or the circumstances in which it is filmed and released, make the film go unnoticed by critics and audiences many, many years later? What is the reason that an adventurous story, shot with a decent budget, with actors who will later become world stars, beautiful scenery, etc., will be completely unnecessary to anyone?
I can't answer those questions. Perhaps after watching, many will say that the plot of the film is not the most original, but if you look at it this way, it is not quite so. Card cheater comes up with an incredible way of enrichment: he climbs into the factory for the production of cards for casinos called “Kaleidoscope”, marks several decks, tracks their distribution to gambling establishments and, having arrived in them, wins fabulous money; noting the “big luck” of the player, the police takes him on a mission to stop the criminal activity of the main villain of the film.
After viewing the thoughts and impressions are contradictory - there is nothing outstanding in this work, but nothing terrible either. If the movie didn’t appeal to me, why wasn’t it interesting to everyone else? Perhaps the film is not good enough to be the best and will be remembered for it, and, at the same time, not so bad as to celebrate at least this.
It is noteworthy that after “Kaleidoscope” next year, Warren Beatty will star in “Bonnie and Clyde”, and Jane Birkin only starred in “Photomagnification”. You can watch the film only to find out what these stars looked like at the beginning of their careers.
