I only watched it this year, eight years after it was released, and immediately I felt like seeing the second part or anything similar, but unfortunately I didn’t find anything. But that's not it now. I will not retell the plot of the film - look for yourself if you are interested, and now about the pluses.
The character selection in this film is perfect. There's no other word. Of course, the Tekken universe has many more interesting characters, but in this film they were chosen as correctly as possible.
And they looked very harmonious. Especially a couple of the main characters of the film: Lin and Alice are just the best company that can be in this series. The exuberant and charismatic character of the former coexists with the soft, pure and slightly naive temperament of the latter. Of course not without difficulty, but that is why it is even more interesting to watch. This is the first plus.
Second, it's graphics. Heroes were drawn with absolute accuracy, as in the game, and in some places it turned out even better. Of course, this is not a game, and therefore the method of drawing is different, but if we talk about the general appearance, it is so.
The third plus is voiceovers. What in the original, what in the English version, with the voices of the characters “hit the bull’s eye.” As for the Russian voiceover, then of all the numerous re-voicings, the more successful turned out on the website of classmates.
And finally, the biggest point in favor of the filmmakers is the idea. It goes without saying that the film was scolded in terms of the plot (we will talk about it later), but if you think about it from the other side: after all, this is a film shot on the Game, and not vice versa. And in this situation, the creators of such paintings do not have the task of striking the white light with incredible plot twists and original events. Such shootings have two tasks - this, of course, self-promotion, and on the other hand, profit. She'll definitely be. And the reason for this will be loyal fans, ready to stand in line for tickets for days, just to see their favorite characters from the other side, in a new light. So that's a big plus. Although with such a filing it is difficult to talk about the release of new parts (which is quite sad), but what happened - it came out.
Now about the disadvantages, which, in principle, and not. Of course, the plot, in addition to the above, does not coincide with the events of the game. For this film scolded "on what the bright light is." But if you think about it, should you make the same game, just on the big screen, instead of coming up with something new? There is a different answer for everyone. But if the creators of the cartoon did not set such a goal, then there is no minus in this. Showed your favorite characters on the big screen – pleased the fans. “The wolves are full and the sheep are whole.”
Well, the second controversial thing, for which the cartoon is also scolded, is spectacular fights, or rather, their small number. There were only three of them in the entire film, which was not enough for many. Of course, Tekken is a world-famous fighting game series, and it should be associated with mind-blowing battles. The opinion that this is not a film in which you need to deal with the disclosure of characters and the presence of any meaning, can also exist. But again, the creators tried to bet neither on the characters themselves, and not on how they wave their fists, and did not miss. Fans of the series may not like it, but as far as I am not the most zealous lover of the game, the fights were only an addition, not the main side of the film. There is enough action everywhere, and there it was enough.
In general, if you sum up, we can safely say that the film is worthy of attention. Even if you are not a connoisseur of the Tekken universe, you should not have any discomfort when watching, since, again, the plot is not much related to the game. I wish you a pleasant viewing experience!
