Short films. Part 3. Everything will come true if you want to. Unfortunately, the reality surrounding us is not like many famous cartoons. The moral that “follow your dreams, your work and your strength, and sooner or later the goal will be achieved” does not correspond to what is actually happening around us. Although she often rises in Western cartoons. You can put in a lot of effort trying to achieve your goal, long and hard, but nothing happens. And only despair (which “good” believers, for some reason, consider sin) can give long-awaited fruits in a difficult moment.
This cartoon is the first of its kind, where this morality rises from the entire screen time. Of course, she sometimes skipped in cartoons before, but nowhere has she ever focused on this.
It is very nice to see modern cartoons (with the exception of Japanese anime, because they will be done for a long time) made in hand-drawn animation. Scottish music also fits very well into the plot. The main character, or rather the heroine, is a creature-cryptide Loch Ness Monster or just Nessie. Although the word "monster" does not fit here. Here we see instead of another plesiosaur, a pretty lizard with a pig face. Our heroine, autistic, vulnerable, kind and morally weak. She has no friends or family. And her only friend is a toy duckling, which evokes touching feelings, no less powerful than the drama associated with the situation of the heroine. The main bastard here is a rich man with henchmen who show their “pig” nature in appearance. There are also several species of animals appearing on the same stage and playing a role in the plot.
I give this cartoon the highest praise. I would recommend it to you and your children. Especially if you want to teach them the hard reality early.
