Who wants to be a millionaire again? The series “Pandora” I consider one of the most underrated on the film search. This film deserves a higher rating, primarily because of the script and acting.
Fans of cocktails, vinaigrettes and music collections, to which I consider myself, the series should like first of all. There are four in one: action movie, mysticism, village detective and love melodrama.
The village detective wins over everyone else thanks to the stunning play of supporting actors Sergei Badichkin and Olga Khokhlova. Precinct Fedyushin performed by Badichkin can safely claim the title of modern Aniskin, created in the 70s by the great Mikhail Zharov.
Mysticism is managed by Igor Yasulovich. His Veial is a true guide from here to nowhere and back, unlike the many make-up sub-magicians from Hollywood fantasy. In Yasulovich’s eyes, there is so much space that would be enough for ten thrillers.
Slightly limp action part of the film. The main villain is Herman, villainous to caricature. I don’t think that’s the fault of actor Anton Pampushny, rather in the script he was slightly repainted.
Finally, the love-psychological component. The hero of Anatoly Bely during the film solves the philosophical question - Is it possible to start life from scratch? White, unlike Pampushny, plays restrained on halftones, but this is only more convincing.
Olga Arntgoltz, besides being beautiful in village sundresses, psychologically accurately paints the image of a modern journalist with an abundance of ambitions and accompanying cockroaches in her head, but the absence of that one love. The best role of Olga in the movie is definitely.
There are two fragments in the film that I would put in VGIK textbooks. In the first episode, this is a scene in the hospital, when the boy guard came to see the new girl. The short dialogue between them somehow cuts to the bone. In the sixth series, an acting lesson is given by Larisa Malevannaya. Her phrase, “Is it you, Andrew?” resonates in her ears for several more days.
It was a movie that I wanted to watch more than once.
