The woman who sings Chilean Violetta Parra. Remember that name.
A sincere, honest film about a talented woman and the amazing time that gave the world so gifted people that the boundaries between their talents are lost. Such were Tonino Guerra and Serge Gainsbourg (of our - Vysotsky). Her life is all in the best traditions of the “hero of any time”: selfishness, mysticism, poverty, super-emotionality and this eternal inexorable desire for self-destruction. Or maybe it's the only way to be honest, to give a part of yourself over and over again, to the very end. But there is in Violetta and different from the “canonical image of the hero” feature: she is a woman and her actions seem to come from her supersensitive nature. She creates, read, lives while she loves. Life is unthinkable without love. In the film, an insane number of confessional poems and tragic songs, performed with such zeal that it is impossible not to believe in their sincerity. Everyone will probably have a friend whom you will recognize as Violetta. I hope you do not recognize yourself in it, otherwise your fate is sad. No matter what, don’t forget to say thank you.
