After watching the cartoon, I remembered the phrase from the song of Eva Polna: “Only sad fairy tales, probably, are also needed.” It is difficult to disagree with this, because it is sad tales that form the most real idea of life in children. Brave Leafy is a melancholy tale of inevitability. After all, we all understand that each chick should eventually fly out from under the parental wing into an adult independent life. This is how the world works, no matter how sad it may sound. For an adult audience, the cartoon touches on the banal truth that any chick will remain for his mother forever a baby. But such topics will always find a response in the heart of sentimental viewers, and the image of a selfless and brave mother who stands up for her, albeit not biological, but still her child, a priori arouses sympathy.
Although initially, Leafy chicken seemed to me an exalted crazy bird with a flower up its ass. But, apparently, the author of this script is familiar with the expression about “chicken brains”, so the main character was not endowed with a mind. Her habit of giving everyone nicknames and naivety bordering on stupidity was terribly annoying. She was given maternal instincts and a good heart. When Lifie began hatching someone else's chick, she has already become a full-fledged hen, protecting her baby. And already in the second half, the plot is able to captivate a more adult audience, because there are more dramatic moments. For example, when the heroine without hesitation rushes to help, despite the offense. Or when he breaks his beak to blood all night to take off a scarlet ribbon. Of course, there is a lot of moralizing and pathos, as in any other parable for children. But in general, there was a good sentimental story about the relationship between parents and children.
I was glad that the evil was not too clear here. It seems that even a child understands that weasel is bad, because he hunts chickens and ducks. But the creators of the cartoon show the story on the other hand, where the same mother tries to survive in this cruel world and feed her offspring. That is, it is not just shown that caresses are evil by default. But still explained the reasons why she had to be. This was perhaps the most pleasant surprise for me. And I also want to separately note the drawing of a brutal spleen with a model haircut. Indeed, the image of the Wanderer looks beautiful on the screen and is remembered. Otherwise, the standard set for a children's cartoon: friendship, competition, tear-squeezing finale and other mandatory elements for the family genre. I suggest you show the kids. Against the background of cartoons with standard happy endings will definitely stand out.
Perhaps the most “children’s” cartoon of all the animated tapes, which put before the viewer completely unchildish problems. At least from what I have seen.
Truly kind, well-designed - it was a kind of discovery for me - after dozens of graceful, but slightly heavy Drymwork tapes, oversaturated with too adult humor and even sarcasm. What, you will agree - not too correlated with the concepts of entertainment and educational products for children.
However, there is no exaggerated curvature of characters in the style of the classic “catch-up” – a vivid example of this, let me say, genre, is the bright memory of the Soviet “Well, wait” – or, if you like, Disney “Tom and Jerry”. As well as many, many other creations – in which children are offered a simplified to a minimum scheme “a good little mouse / bunny / poor orphan Johnny defeats a bad evil wolf / cat / neighbor’s guy Peter with pumped biceps and poor intelligence.” At the same time, in the process of winning, causes the evil bully-pest the maximum possible amount of trouble, physical injuries and mental injuries.
No one in the world can convince me that such masterpieces (though they cause many tears of tenderness and bright nostalgia) can teach our children anything - or, at least, in some way, contribute to their mental and spiritual development.
Bright characters, dizzying adventures, subtle and unobtrusive morality, excellent musical accompaniment - for all this the film deserves the highest praise.
But “Courageous Leafy” didn’t strike me down with all these beautiful qualities. What strikes us is that evil, which must inevitably be present in our lives — and we must explain it to our children — is not shown here by the abstract, rather faceless Beech that hides in the closet and must be immediately disposed of. No.
Evil lives its life, educates little children, loves and feels in its own way. It’s pretty, but only when you understand what’s important. Like Leafy. She realized that good doesn’t always win in traditional ways.
In general, the film is decent, bright, bold in its own way and very smart. But not clever. It teaches us to feel and understand the world around us, to love it and not to be too harsh on ourselves and others. I hope someday I can watch it in the company of my own child.
This is not a cartoon in which there is something to beat both adults and children (the humor here, it should be noted, is rather mediocre).
There is a predictable (but good) plot, pleasant (albeit sometimes cutting the eye with 3D animation artifacts) graphics, there are anime-pathetic ducks, toothy beaks, kissing frogs, defecation, egg-bearing and death. But all this does not distract from the most important thing in this cartoon is: good, dear comrades. Good.
I'm writing a review of the film "Courageous Lifi", just watched. Honestly, I'm just in shock. It was in my video library for a long time and I postponed watching it until the last. And it's really worth it. The film is great.
The plot is the most simple, and we have seen it a hundred times, but as we were shown it. This one's beautiful. The relationship between Green’s son and mother is impressive. He's a duck, she's a chicken, they're different, but they love each other, despite the hardships they've been through. I never cry in a movie (or in life), but in that movie, a tear came down my face. Probably everyone would remember his childhood, remember how wonderful it was, and nostalgia would cover with his head. There are a lot of life situations, especially with Lifi’s mother, how she took care of the little duckling, how she worried about him. You think of your mother because she would do the same as the character in the movie. There are also many secondary characters in the film. Mr. Otter. He was a realtor and helped to find a comfortable home for Lifi, her best friend Sparrows, as well as a lot of characters from the Courtyard, who, to put it mildly, were not friendly to Lifi at the first meeting. And of course, what without the main villain? In our case, the villain Weasels, who always appeared at the wrong moment and tried to grab a tidbit. In other words, her behavior is impossible to judge, this is life, she was just hunting.
This is just a shock, I do not want to disclose the details, but the act of the main character causes respect and at the same time pity for her. I want to note that this is not an American Disney film, the film was shot by South Korea and the graphics are good, albeit a little strange.
Bottom line: the film is great for family viewing, children will be happy, adults will have something to remember from their childhood. Great movie, I highly recommend it!
It seems that the distributors again went overboard with the translation, and instead of a chicken with a “flower in the butt”, they saw Joan of Arc of the chicken world. After reading the review, watching the trailer - and expect a good story about the brave chicken, which, despite everything, raised a poor orphan - a duckling.
But, in this cartoon, the stage of growth is not the main one. Apparently, the creators tried to focus on the problem of youthful formation, a kind of denial of themselves, their environment, unsuccessful searches and, finally, dawn and discovery. That's great. But Leafy. Her courage lies in the sacrifice of this "poor" duckling. Oh, she's really going to sacrifice a lot. Good character, sorry for her.
I’m not talking about secondary characters. Four ducks "mi-fa-sol-si" will dream me in terrible dreams.
Result: I do not understand the purpose of such creations. If there is, of course. And as entertainment, the cartoon didn't quite succeed. It's an unpleasant residue.
Z. Y: Little things, but the main "villain" is still not a fox, but a weasel.
In a remote poultry farm lived... although no, rather already existed. Because what kind of life is it when you eat the same food every day, you make eggs to make an omelet? Approximately so thought the main feathered heroine - chicken Lifi. She dreamed of getting out of this damn place to create and grow her baby. And she does, but that's not how she imagined freedom. In the poultry farm, she is not welcome, and in the forest it is dangerous, she did not know where to go until she meets an otter nicknamed Heathretz - a realtor of free housing. She lives by the pond, and two pairs of ducks live next door. And so, it turns out (a long story) that she carries their egg. And after hatching an egg, a yellow duckling hatches out of it and Leafy gives it a name - Green. Further, after the stages of growing up, Greene describes the lives of mother and son who are different from each other.
Judging by the trailer, the cartoon is based on the film adaptation. After watching it, there was an idea – a masterpiece! This is actually an extremely rare, great and good story. The cartoon raises the topic of the relationship between the family, especially since the mother is a chicken and the son of a duck. Touching, sweet, sad, tragic, exciting. Humor in the cartoon is cute jokes that will amuse, of course not laugh, but amuse with their naivety and fun. A cartoon is not a spectacle, it is a non-existent reality. The spectacle is only for the audience, and this is a story, a story where the audience witnesses real motherly love and from the eyes, from emotions will flow tears of happiness and sadness. Definitely...

Characters.
Each hero is unique and bright, thought out externally and internally.
Lifi is a chicken. There is a lot to say about her, but I will describe only the most important thing. After a long existence in a poultry farm, she became a strange person. I’ve heard many people say she’s crazy. There's a flower on her tail. It hurts almost always. Gives someone a nickname. Stupid. But she is the embodiment of the truth of motherly love. She doesn't want to pay attention to Greene's words, that they don't look alike. In the end, there are two moments from my look of genius scenes. But alas, spoilers are forbidden, and after all, these two scenes are really gorgeous.
Green/Baby is a duck. The son of a stranger, that's what Leafy called a duck that saved her life from caress. As he grows up, he struggles to understand his purpose in life and refuses to accept that her mother is a chicken and he is a duck. By the law of nature, this is wrong. A very capable young man ... a duck male. He can swim, masterfully flies, but still remains an outcast for someone.
Mr./Hitretz is an otter. To meet a character who understands stock or individual business is rare. Mr. Otter is a realtor who gives each room (or for me housing). Although I honestly don't understand, what's the benefit to him? His duties include dealing with the problems of tenants, most often from Leafy and Green. He is kind, but does not like to reveal this feeling.

Soundtrack.
The music is great. The classical composition is created so that it plays with the soul and feelings of a person. No, I'm not sensitive, I'm cold, and there's not much to make me feel other than laughter and fear, but everyone does. And these compositions already something, something, touches mentally and mentally in a person. Also great.

Animation.
I haven't seen this kind of animation in a long time. Some background is drawn somehow average, and the characters were painted with bright, drawn contrasts, so that we pay attention to the main characters themselves. And another background, drawn perfectly, showing a beautiful and ordinary nature. If it is good to pay attention to the behavior of the characters of the tape, then in the cartoon there are imperceptible elements of the anime. This is of course, the cartoon is from South Korea, but the animation itself is very similar to Disney.

The last one.
A truly worthwhile, soul-worked cartoon. As for the cartoon for the family, I doubt it. It hurts violent scenes, no, I do not mean that there is thrash in the cartoon, but that it is quite childish plot twists. Who to advise, except those who are under 14 years of age? Personally, I really liked the movie.
