After the half-word of the series “Berserk”, surely we should expect some continuation or rethinking of the said classics. We had to wait quite a long time and only by 2012 the creators of Animatrix took up the next film adaptation of the manga. The series actually had quite a few flaws and a lot of it said about a rather modest budget. But certain advantages of it, of course, could not be taken away, in the form of a more detailed disclosure of the characters, their motivation, as well as a really decent soundtrack. Alas, then the audience was left without a sensible ending and just cut off everything at the most intriguing moment.
The plot of the first film from the trilogy almost exactly repeats the events of the series and the manga. It is dedicated to the formation of the Falcon squad from ordinary robbers to court nobles, and Gatz himself just yet has time to join Griffith, Casca and all the rest. Already at this stage, we will have time to tell about the ambiguous characters of Gatz himself, as well as Grffit, outline the future plot vector, reveal some questions and ask new ones for continuation.
In my humble view, both the 1997 series had its flaws, and the 2012 feature-length has its own. But similar to the series, of course, there are advantages, exactly such clearly did not have the previous “Berserk”. Here it is worth noting the fact that the scale of all battles increased simply by many times. The introduction to the picture makes this clear. Since the siege of the fortress, which occurs at the very beginning, looks very epic, bloody and to some extent brutal. This was certainly lacking in the series, but just more than implemented in full meter. The number of details has increased significantly and in this regard tried really well. On the other hand, I can’t approve of the notorious 3D, it cut my eyes a little and made me remember some cheap children’s cartoons on it. Fortunately, at least the new "Berserk" does not consist entirely of it and it will climb out only somewhere in the extras. If you remember, the series also had its own problems with the extras. Unfortunately, the series itself in the plot seemed to me a little long, but this despite the fact that there was certainly no clear finale. But in the case of the redesigned Berserk, it is just the opposite. Yes, all the main and key events that are important for understanding the plot are stuffed here. But that's probably it. The same Guts was not fully disclosed, episodes from his childhood were replaced by a brief flashback.
But in the end, in principle, I have nothing to blame “Beherit the Sovereign”. I had a chance to watch it right after the 1997 TV series and I was really happy. All the questions that could arise when viewing the full meter, were satisfied with the series and the whole plot is already completely familiar. But it is worth mentioning, I would still advise watching Beherit the Lord after the series, because many interesting details were omitted here, even the battle with Nosferatu Zodd turned out to be extremely fleeting, which did not please me a bit. But again, at the same time, removed and really unnecessary things that made me bored while watching the series.

We will make our divine comedy with swords and battles!
It is such thoughts that arise after watching this creation and they are absolutely not groundless, since the first film is 1\3 to the general story cycle, and perhaps the most harmless in content - everything is as befits a fantasy fighter. An uncouth and rude protagonist who is not a fool to fight - a charismatic team that does not accept him at first, all according to the canons. Unless there is more “knighthood” uncharacteristic of the Japanese, so the cartoon first creates the impression of a European character, but then everything as always with the Japanese – conspiracies, personal overtones, everything is in place.
The key plot figure - Grifftis, causes incomprehensible antipathy - it is clear further along the plot convoy. Should I say the cartoon is bad? No he holds and you watch all the subsequent parts of the trilogy - but it creates a feeling of emptiness, details and drawing enough, it is difficult to say what exactly sags.
Akshon on the spot, intrigue on the spot, heroes and their work on the spot - action. Actions unfold in a strange way - they hurry, then stretch, then skip time periods, but again this does not spoil anything.
As a result, mixing it all, we get a classic European fantasy, performed by the Japanese tidy and chaste. There is something to see - but there is too much space for thought, as always landscapes - but there is not much to think about, as it is known in the fantasy of a special legion there were special ideas pretending to philosophize - there is no such thing here. All right, all chewed. The film leaves you alone after watching - and the question is, is it necessary?
A very strong middle peasant, for viewing in a neutral mood, you will have enough action and blood and everything else - except that you do not get the dynamics of which you expect from a Japanese-made slasher. Watch the trilogy further - things will improve around the middle of the second film.
Personal impressions of the new film adaptation. What succeeded a what didn very Just a quick series. "Berserk: Beherit the Sovereign" is nothing more than the second adaptation of the manga of Kentaro Miura, released from 89 to the present day (37 volumes have been released so far). This is a rather serious, dark and cruel story, rich in unexpected twists and turns. Unique universe, exciting plot, elaborate characters, stylish and stunningly high-quality art. Manga "Berserk" is one of the most striking examples of the Dark Fantasy genre, which for a reason received a cult status around the world. The same can be said about the first film. With the only difference that both adaptations cover the arch of the Golden Age - the brightest and least fantastic part of the manga, telling about the youth of the swordsman Guts and explaining the further development of events. Now about the second film adaptation, which received mixed reviews from old fans. The problem is definitely not that the new Berserk is a bad anime, which is not true. Today, when this type of art is inundated with romantic platitudes, nauseating kawai characters, loli and all sorts of other disguised perversions, the new Berserk feels like a breath of fresh air. More precisely, a breath of old, nostalgic air that returns you to childhood/adolescence/youth/youth. The time when anime was still perceived in our country not as “tastelessness for perverts”, but as something cruel, gloomy, designed for an adult audience. No, the problem is not that this film adaptation is bad. The thing is that it is designed mostly for new fans, forgetting at times about the old ones. Why Cantaro Miura's new creation might not appeal to loyal fans? Because the hand of Kentaro Miura himself is not felt here, and first of all it concerns art. The screen adaptation of the year 97 at the time of release was not the most perfect in technological terms, and now it is completely outdated, but still the drawing there was very, very close to the original source, which cannot be said about the new adaptation: the characters have changed, the environment has changed, the author’s corporate style has been lost in places. You can find fault with the narrative – if sometimes small differences with the original are justified, then for the most part they are completely unfounded. The characters’ replicas were changed; some hints appeared that were not there before; some episodes important for revealing the characters were omitted or changed, and some of the characters were completely left behind. In general, the narrative is more confused and crumpled, and the new audience is likely to perceive events, characters, causes of certain actions differently. Where the series looked like animated manga pages, the feature looks like a Western adaptation with a changed style, in a more concise and free form. Drawing in places depressing simplicity, and in places, on the contrary, impresses the quality and scrupulousness of the study. There are also drawbacks like a twitchy picture in dynamic scenes, controversial sensations from 3D graphics, etc., but in general you can watch. The soundtrack has changed, but judging it is not so easy. I liked the old ending to the chills, and other compositions were remembered for a long time. But in the new film adaptation, the music is selected quite at the level, and what is better, what is worse is a matter of personal preferences. I could not help but note the Russian localization – Reanimedia, as always, at a height unattainable by other domestic anime publishers. A little short of the voice of Gurren-Laganne (in my opinion their best work), but still very high quality and talented. The domestic edition definitely deserves to be bought, if only because Reanimedia is the only Russian company that still produces projects of this level in our country. The new Berserk quite conveys the main message of the manga, retells the plot without critical differences, but at the same time misses something less obvious, but no less important. Personally for me, this film adaptation will not replace the previous and, especially, manga, but as an addition suits more than. Now I am waiting for my copy of the next part and hope that the creators will work on some shortcomings. And for those who are not familiar with the universe, I strongly recommend that you start your journey into this dark fantasy world with a manga – it is definitely worth it. P.S. I specifically did not write a review after the first review, because I was not very pleased with some decisions and this could affect the assessment. Now, having given himself time to think over everything, having revised both adaptations, and having reread the original, he was able to approach the writing of the review more impartially and adequately. By the way, this film adaptation is worth thanking at least for the fact that it again aroused interest in the universe, pushing various manufacturers of merchandise to release new products. 8 out of 10 Original
Looking at the cover of the new Berserk franchise, I somehow decided that this is another hasty continuation, without any loss of hope for a new chapter. But it didn’t dawn on my brain that it could be a remake, and remakes usually require harsh criticism. Looking only at this film, I can already put a comma between “No Execution” and “Pardon”. I write only in fact - this franchise will restore the previous feeling from watching Berserk, of course not up to copying your facial expressions, but the main emotions will have time to convey.
As always, it’s been a pleasure to revisit the chivalric times and visit new special effects, from mixed 3D-drawn animation. Fights have become even worse, the lack of censorship, the camera angle is tuned to an even more pleasant wave, an excellent soundtrack and most importantly, the plot runs exactly along the string, without unnecessary length and brevity. Oh, yeah, they're pretty good at a full-length session. Everything looks great! Gentle look at the brightly detailed drawing and listen to a full dubbing from the studio Reanimedia! But the devil pushed them to change the classic main characters ... on absolutely new. Gats - this is an ideal soldier with the character of hard minds, but in peacetime Guts is more lenient and more like an aggressive child who is constantly stealing apple lollipops. However, he was painted quite young. Griffiths - unflappable sage with twenty-five years of exposure. With the endurance that we used to watch before and admire his steadfastness and nobility. However, here he fully personifies "of these". Voice, habits, facial expressions, gestures, appearance... God be with you my young friend! Helmet more like an avid punk girl at a metalcore concert. Unlike Griffiths, the creators took care to deprive Casca up to the last female hormone, and preserving her body, turned her mind into the mind of a mad duck with a winding motor.
It’s just a design idea, so comparing to past experiences isn’t always helpful. Let's see what happens next...
In principle, from an anime-style cartoon, you should expect anything. When failure, when success. Most film lovers, however, are inclined to the second option, because they believe that if this “anime” is present in the graph of the film genre, then such a picture automatically acquires the status of a cult. It all depends on the atmosphere. Why the atmosphere? Yes, because just the “most” moviegoers watch movies of this kind just for fun. They don’t care about the moral and moral principles by which the cartoon anime that they just watched was performed, they just want something unusual, something bloody, something, in fact, not quite suitable for a child’s mind. "Berserk" and many other representatives of the race of the genre represented are all that the current generation loves so much, and needs so much: violence, abomination, evil, fear. I don’t know how I like that at first glance. No way, actually. But since “anime” and “cartoon” are two concepts completely different in meaning, then all the above I can safely close my eyes, or even forget, like a terrible dream. On the one hand, it is. I have no right to scold Berserk. The Golden Age: The Film First" just because the genre of his anime, please do not have. Why? Again, the terms anime and cartoon are as different as water and fire. If you combine one with the other, you get hell. That's why I want to blame our creation. This is the “combination of fire with water.” It is not clear who is superior to another. Fire over the water. Or water over the fire. You can compose legends, write romances, but it is clear that the outcome will be one: some of the elements, sooner or later, will give way to a more powerful one.
There was, and floated rather quickly (lasting, seemingly, somewhere series under 25), the series with the same name "Berserk", which had its beginning in 1997. The creator country, of course, is Japan. I don't remember him, but kill him, brothers, I don't remember. One “joy” that I remember him gradually helps the same “Beherit ruler”, released in Russia on April 26, 2012, that is, began to emerge from the distant subconscious images of the characters, their characters, manners, etc. Yeah, that's right. But the question is, “Do I want to remember it completely?” Honestly, after watching the "Film of the First", telling all about the same tough warrior Guts, about his misadventures and other fun with Grifis, the leader of the delight "Falcon", awkwardly begins to notice that the love for the series, which you so adored in childhood, even without really remembering it now, begins to quiet down, no longer sees the sense of trust in him, as it was before. Finally disappointed in the anime tape, which is discussed in the review, there is no desire to return to the classic series of the 90s. My faith is dead. Trying to follow in the footsteps of the 21st century, the film about "Berserke" has turned into "don't realize what." Here you and 3D animation, in theory, is fundamentally not necessary cartoon. Here you have all sorts of hints about today’s future, today’s terrible and terrible future. Yes, this cartoon is not made for children, the point is clear, but teenagers probably do not want to watch “it” because they watch it every day of their lives. The world is going downhill, it has long been clear. Nobody wants to improve. To make a good movie in the genre: "anime" also no one wants. To stir up the classics, sticking in it a newfangled visual tasteless show? Please. All. I have nothing more to add. Perhaps the text and came out a little confused, of a special kind it will not play. Few people like to read anyway. Hope is lost, there is no way back. "New Berserk" failed to tap its full potential only because of the voracious "big movie" studio bosses. Pity. Risk something, and still look, in a normal way, the original animated series? Maybe, but not now. You have to come to your senses, recover from the Epic Fail. We'll have to wait. Oh, come on.
We must take fate into our own hands and not let it decide how we live and die.
The Golden Age movies are what every Berserk fan has been looking forward to. Let me stress, it's a fan. To watch this film for those who are not familiar with Berserk at all - I do not recommend. Movies are similar to Recaps - a retelling of history in an accelerated format. Compared to the series from the 90s, the events in the film run without respite, leaving in the shadows what I personally love Berserk. Therefore, if you watch this film, then check out at least a series that looks in one breath.
This is not a negative review. I really liked the film and I was happy with it, although I expected something more. In order not to be hollow, I will tell you in more detail about what I got when watching the film, did not get what I liked and did not like.
1. Drawing.
Pluses:
Despite the hatred of fans of Japanese animation to the use of 3D drawing in a mixture with ordinary, in the film it was appropriate. Sometimes I didn’t notice 3D at all, which is a plus. What I liked from the first minutes was the lack of censorship that the TV version suffered from. Torn limbs, blood, sodomy - this is exactly what the real Berserk is famous for. All this is drawn so appropriately that a flying eye or a severed hand will not make you feel bad - all this remains in the background. Animators are not in vain sitting in their places - large-scale battles, fortresses, beautiful views of nature and buildings of the Middle Ages are perfectly drawn, delighting and complementing the beauty of the picture. Overall, the money was not wasted making this film. Comparing Beherit the Sovereign with other anime of 2012 - he is not inferior to them, most of it surpassing and crushing the colorfulness of the picture.
Minuses:
What I didn’t like was the drawing of the main characters. Griffith finally lost all the masculine features in his face. Guts became even younger, but lost all the beauty of the original character. Since the first film, Berserk has lost all of its dark fantasy atmosphere. One who watches movies first and then takes on manga and TV will be shocked by the difference. Constant sunny views, clear sky, everyday life. Where have we gone?
2. Soundtrack
Again, compared to the anime series, the film is inferior in absolutely everything. The music is almost inaudible, it does not complement the picture.
3. Opening.
It was the only musical introduction that really made me happy. Footage that stirs interest along with combat music is candy. Alas, it remained a mystery - why in the opening for the films of the arches of the Golden Age, manga characters from other arches? Make me read manga? Foster hope? Perhaps, I myself bought the latter, hoping that we will be pleased with at least one sequel film, which is very doubtful.
4. Voiceover.
Once again, the TV series is moving forward. It's easy for me to compare as I watched the movie with subtitles and the original soundtrack. Sayyu tried their best, but their voices do not fit their characters at all. The main characters are again deprived - Griffith's voice does not have those imperious notes that should be at least in his orders. There's absolutely nothing. Guts liked the voice better, but again, there's no masculinity and toughness in the voice. In merging with drawing, the film finally becomes bright and good.
5. Plot.
I won’t talk much about the plot – the film retells the series, retells the manga. The beginning of the story of the Black Swordsman named Guts, at the behest of fate faced with the Hawk gang and from that moment opened a new page in life. In the course of the manga, we are told the story of a lonely swordsman learning to protect others, think with his head, learn friendship, etc. Beherit of the ruler did not lose the narrative of the development of Gats, but because of the accelerated plot - much was lost. The emphasis was on the friendship between Guts and Griffith, on the trust of Guts, only for the sake of drama. Despite so many “minuses” – the plot did not distort to the bone. This is the same Berserk, but painted more for Newphages who prefer beautiful drawing, nurtured on good fantasy and everyday life.
Conclusion:
The film "Beherit the Lord" did not exceed expectations, but was not a disgrace to the franchise. It's just a film that warms the heart with nostalgia between the chapters of the manga, takes us back to the origins of the narrative, but nothing more. I would watch it again just to appreciate the voiceover of Reanimedia. If the series looked easy and you plunged into it with your head, then Beherit the Overlord makes you run from one episode to another, feverishly remembering the TV version. Yes, you can make a lot of money on films, but many more fans would like a new season or the same three films, but continue the saga of the Black Swordsman. It’s hard to talk about the films as a whole, as we’ve only seen the first one so far. I want to believe that the second and third part will please more.
I give an 8 out of 10. Although there are many downsides, the new version is not perfect, but it was just like Berserk, so it remained. A unique story with unique heroes and an atmosphere that I loved and love. My advice is don’t rush to watch the movie, read the original.
If you're a fan of fantasy, come here. You know the Lord of the Rings, you've played Dragon Age and Warcraft, and you're pretty good at it. If you’ve moved from Middle-Earth to Westeros and don’t know what other fantasy universe you should explore, rejoice. There is Berserk, a Japanese fantasy in all its glory, very brutal, but at the same time very true.
Before watching the movie, I highly recommend reading the manga or watching the anime. If you've already done that, or you've just sent my proposal the fuck out, then I have no choice but to move on to the story of "Berserke." Golden Age: Movie I. Beherit the Sovereign.
This product was not filmed in Hollywood, and therefore is budget. In this regard, as soon as the film begins, unsightly 3D models of soldiers are striking, which look perfect in the scene where a multi-thousand army storms the fortress, and all this is shown from a bird's eye view, oh, that is, flight. Unfortunately, the same three-dimensional extras look very bad at close angles during local brawls.
The plot develops rapidly, but does not seem to be stripped down, although it is certainly cut down compared to the plot of the manga. Because of such rapidity and dynamics of events, literally after 10 minutes of viewing, you cease to pay attention to unsightly three-dimensionality. Moreover, since sword fights and other medieval weapons are worked out, and look realistic, the heroes do not just wave their sabers, it seems that they think through each blow.
The plot tells about the war, about friendship, about the principles ... buhee. This has happened in a thousand other movies! That sounds disgusting, I will try to explain. In Berserk, the main question is the attitude of a person to his own dream. Is he willing to dedicate his life to his own dream, or perhaps to someone else’s. The main characters follow the young commander Griffiths, who goes from one victory to another. But is it Griffiths himself, or are higher forces leading him along the path of omnipotence (and here the problem of the role of fate in human life already arises)?
The main feature of Berserk, like any fantasy, is his world, it is not that worked out. I would even say that it is not worked out by a hundredth of a share as in the book giants of the Lord of the Rings, Songs of Ice and Fire and others. The trump card of the world of Berserk is its atmosphere, oppressive darkness, medieval chaos, where there is no place for love, tears and mercy. Where throughout life a person will try to find the light and get only blood.
Unfortunately, this atmosphere is less conveyed in the film than in the manga or TV series, but most of it is preserved. The film serves as an occasion to plunge into the world invented by Cantaro Miura. I recommend you take advantage of this opportunity.
As can be seen from the title, Film I. Beherit the Overlord is the beginning of my introduction to the Berserk franchise, so the opinion should be more or less impartial, I count on it, at least.
Frankly speaking, the plot throughout the film does not shine: some rubbish, then quite sharply flies 3 years, and now the old enemies become bosom friends, go hunting together, work together and all they have type-top. I do not doubt that there is hope for the subsequent development of the story, for the disclosure of characters, all this even now there are some prerequisites. But here we have what we have.
The indisputable advantage of the full-length is a very good action, and both its quality and its quantity, as they say, in moderation. Does not let you get bored and permanently pleases severed limbs for all 80 minutes of screen time.
I must say that, perhaps, to say something else simply does not make sense (sorry for the tautology), but in absentia the first part of me intrigued, so I am not afraid to advise it to all fans of wild unbridled Kroshilov, and everything else, hopefully, attach.
8 out of 10
I will write briefly: if you want to get straight to the point, then I advise you, just skip my lecture, and if you are really interested in reading this, I will be happy to do so.
I'm not an anime artist, and I don't dress in weird clothes, trying to be like some anime characters. But despite this, I watch the anime, seeing it as very unusual and peculiar. We will talk about the masterpiece (according to many animeshniks) - "Berserk". I and others, of course, watched the '97 series. Despite rivers and fountains of blood, vile and disgusting personalities, cruel and sometimes shocking scenes or events, anime still remains - masterpiece real. Unlike cartoons that describe noble, brave, brave, brave, invincible and beautiful knights and other heroes, this creation is more believable. What you’ve seen is the Middle Ages. Noble lords are really dirty and selfish (sorry for the expression) bastards, the land swallows endless liters of blood and suffers from the trampling of horses marauders, murderers, mercenaries who kill anyone for money.
As I wrote, I’m not an anime artist, nor a fan of this series, but I was surprised to learn that there will soon be a feature-length series describing the events of the series. Why would you watch the same story if you saw that show? You see... the fact that “Berserk” season 1 and the series is not finished, that is, what happened to the characters is unknown. That was the main reason to watch this movie. Although, as probably many, the remake took the studio Warner Bros., it was embarrassing. Americans, you know, have a bad habit of doing things their own way. And now let's get to the point, and if you saw my face, you would definitely remember the old saying - "eviler than an evil Tatar".
Plot.
Guts is a swordsman who has no equal. He kills mercenaries, fortress guards and others who have a sword, just for the money to live and find the purpose of his life. After defeating one strong fathodon, he was attacked by a group of mercenaries. After a very short time, he met a horseman who defeated Guts. After some time, he now learns that the blonde who defeated him was Griffiths himself (not to be confused with Griffin!) the leader of the Falcon Gang, a well-known group of mercenaries who always came out of the battlefield victorious. To avenge him for the hole Griffiths holed, he calls him to fight, and in vain ... he lost again to him and now, freedom, life, the sword of Guts now belongs to Griffiths. Next, the events of the “Gang of the Falcon” are described three years later.
I expected writers to change the course of history very much, but they did. On the contrary, not counting the beginning of the first series and the series, where Guts first worked in the team. We can say that they did not touch a finger, except for the placement of personnel and plans, nothing has changed (for sure, I specifically looked at the old original, again). I watched the series a long time ago, but I remember it well. Of course, I am for the changes lower the rating, but the writers in a little accuracy saved the main events of the anime, and this is something.
Plot: 2.3 points.
Characters.
It's nice to see the old main characters, but they've changed a little bit.
Gats - a strong, muscular, stubborn, M Bachelor (with an o-very large letter), wearing his favorite, long sword. If I don’t think the sword in the original series is longer than the one in the series. In fact, he looks like an unpleasant person. Unlike the dumb shōnen (genre of this in the anime), where the main and secondary characters are immortal, even if you press, burn, cut, drown them, they always come out of battle only with bruises, scratches, words they took such a hard massage. And here he is a mortal and a living man, with every serious injury, he always comes with scars. Charisma is appropriate.
Griffiths is the leader of the Falcon Gang. Calm, mysterious, intelligent mercenary in which even commanders, if in tactics and intelligence, they are not suitable for him. He's a strange person. He's a man by gender, but you can see from the dialogue between Griffiths and Guts:
Griffiths: I want you.
Guts: (He replied with a wrinkled face) I knew you were one of them.
Helmet - the only woman in the squad, and possibly in the entire "Dark Europe" war. Black brown-haired (in the literal sense that she is ethnic and skin color – black), out of armor she is always dissatisfied with the tricks of Guts, brave, gloomy swordsman, but inside... she is a girl. A weak, fearful of male power, a girl in which women's feelings are still preserved.
Here are these three personalities, the main characters of the series, changing their own fate and history, their rotten and very cruel world.
Characters: 1.9 points.
Animation.
That's what I would rip off artists or greedy horn producers. Their computer animation ... Ugh! Compared to the series, the old animation is more attractive to me. Scenes of combat, battles with computer graphics ... everything looks unpleasant. Artists have become lazy, and no other, more logical explanation comes to my mind. If you make a dummy it's fine, it's nothing, but if you take on something bigger and worthwhile, it's what audacity you have to have to make it work? I was told in the school of directing more than once that when you work with a project, describe in detail the most important thing you want to convey. Anime is excellent, but the same one should be equal to or even better than its predecessor. Every scene, every frame has its value. How the characters are drawn is already something. In addition to disgusting computer animation, there is also drawing. She's much better than the old one. More beautiful and pleasant. The heroes were drawn perfectly. For a good and kind hand-drawn, and not very bright computer animation, all this turns out ...
Animation: 1.2 points.
Soundtrack.
The compositions are strong and good. And to your surprise, I'm finishing this, because it's okay here, and I don't have to add anything.
Soundtrack: 1.6 points.
Additional:
Eroticism or porn: -0.4 points. The scene of a naked Casca is superfluous, although it is probably necessary by design, but still for me personally, it is superfluous.
The last one.
"Berserke." Golden Age: Movie 1 is just the first part of a larger story, so you need to watch at least three or four more parts to better understand it. This is a very good start.
6.6 out of 10
P.S. A little bit of information. In contrast to many, I will explain to you what is still Berserk. Berserk is a warrior who used his anger and rage during combat to boost his strength and morale for battle. That's all.
A unique opportunity to watch on the big screen a great work of Japanese animation. This is especially true for those who have not seen the original series. From an artistic point of view, the film is a brief retelling of the anime. Many storylines here are cut or shortened, leaving only in full glory the fights and battles that are truly fascinating.
The plot is still built around two mercenaries and captures the viewer from the first minutes. It is a pity that it ends, as usual, at the most interesting moment. We can only wait for the sequel, which, hopefully, will be released this fall. I can say with confidence that you will not regret the time spent on this film.
8/10
