The Great Spider-Man is another and rather lightweight adaptation of the adventures of the superhero in red and blue tights in animated form. How many of them were not counted, some more, and some less successful. This particular project I can call very interesting.
It’s probably worth noting that “The Great Spider-Man” is an animated series primarily for children. Bright, colorful, dynamic, rich and sometimes even saturated with humor, dynamic - in general, the cartoon does everything to keep a potential child at the screen. Even breaks the "fourth wall" - Paucan often stops the action on the screen and addresses the viewer directly. Why it was so – it is unclear, but it looks in general this decision is interesting.
It is impossible not to say that the creators still approached their offspring not through sleeves, but with a creative approach and creativity. You can see that they tried to surprise the viewer and constantly bring some variety to the narrative. This is very noticeable for example in the Spidervers arch, where each world is made in its own animation style, different from the standard drawing of the animated series.
With each season, the scale of Spidey's adventures only grows - where only he will not visit and who only he will not see. By the way, in the animated series there are a huge number of Marvel characters, from the usual Iron Man and Cap to more rare visitors like Blade and the Moon Knight. Some characters are associated with their small story arcs, someone will appear to help Spider from time to time, and some are just pleasant cameos.
I can't say you're going to lose a lot by missing the Great Spider-Man. But this is quite a good project, which in general do not want to scold and which can be put somewhere in the background.
I really liked the series, there are many heartfelt and touching moments in the series, from what I liked I can single out the following:
1) Plot:
I really liked the plot (of course, there are some moments that are not quite thought out but in principle normal), Ordinary schoolboy Peter Parker who became a Man - Spider after being bitten by a spider was like everyone (except that he had to hide his second identity), he had friends like everyone and of course enemies (where else without them), but Peter never gave up and in the end he found his vocation, new friends and of course respect.
(2) Supervillains:
In almost every series about superheroes there are supervillains who dream of taking over the world, this series is no exception, it also has its own supervillains who dream of taking over the world, but Spider-Man stops them and they dream of taking revenge on him or destroy him so that he does not interfere with their plans, but as always, Spider-Man saves the world and thanks to him, some supervillains have embarked on the true path, and some of his allies.
(3) Fantastic:
Surely everyone dreams of magic, travel in time or fly to another galaxy or a parallel world, but unfortunately this is not possible in the real world (perhaps in the distant future time travel will be as accessible as a trip on a tram, and flights between galaxies or in a parallel world will remind us of flying in an airplane), but in the meantime we can dream about it.
In the series, the heroes sometimes have to face this, but together they overcome all the obstacles in their path.
(4) Difficult choices:
Surely in the life of each person was a difficult choice, for example, Family or Money, someone chose the first and was happy and someone chose the second and was all his life alone.
In the series, Peter Parker also had to make difficult choices, sometimes Peter’s choice was wrong but right and it’s not easy to give up everything for the sake of family or give villains a second chance.
(5) Keeping Your Second Personality Secret:
Keeping secrets is not easy and hiding your second life from your friends, relatives and loved ones for their safety is even more difficult, but sometimes sharing a secret will make it easier.
Peter Parker had to hide the fact that he was Spider-Man, but sometimes he had to reveal his second identity to save his friends and loved ones, despite the fact that friends found out who he was they kept his secret with him and constantly supported him in difficult times.
Despite all the bad luck that haunted the main character, he never gave up and went forward and eventually found his happiness.
In any life situation, no matter how difficult it is, one should not give up, one should always go forward.
I’ll tell you right away, I like it (my tastes are specific). Almost most of the other reviews roughly boil down to the fact that the state of emergency (Spider-Man) is not the same as the state of emergency of 94, and that Venom is Harry Osborn, not Eddie Brock. Only the amendment, Venom is a symbiote, not a person, its carrier can be absolutely any living creature.
Many jokes are also considered extremely unnecessary. The state of emergency has always been very chatty and pun on comics, so he is also a student here, although in High School, in fact a teenager. What are they? That's right, fool around, suffer bullshit, and laugh at something of your own. It seems that with each season, humorous inserts become less, like Peter himself.
Aunt May has gone from being a cute old lady to being an active middle-aged woman (about 35-50 years old), and that's not a bad thing. Plus, she'll start dating Agent Coulson, which is interesting, but unfortunately, it didn't go on.
Villains. That's where they mostly succeeded. Dr. Osminog, looks cranky, in addition to first studying the emergency from his lair. And the Goblin, my respects. I think it's the best visual.
In general, if you do not include the brain, it is a great gum.
If you look thoughtfully, expect something more (especially from this age rating), then only
Spider-Man is perhaps one of the most popular superheroes in the Marvel universe. Almost everyone knows him, both adults and teenagers, and even children have heard of him. It is no secret that a friendly neighbor likes the whole audience. There are a lot of movies, TV shows, major comic book lines, and there are games. And now it's time to watch "The Perfect Spider-Man."
While his peers drink juice every day, he is waving a web across the expanse of New York City. His whole life is high-speed action, filled with fights with villains and help to civilians. Of course, all this heroic routine is tired of Spider, but he has nothing left, because no matter who the superhero to protect citizens. Soon our hero meets Nick Fury with a proposal to become better and more perfect. He will only have to undergo difficult training and special courses. Unfortunately, Peter’s irresistible hamstrings are not enough to neutralize enemies. So, between two choices, to be a loser or to be perfect, he chose the second. Now our hero will have to oversee not only problems, but also a group of newcomers who were attached to him as assistants and a team. You need to train yourself and your new team.
Iron fist kung fu and other fighting styles. White tigress - sharp claws and acrobat, smart and excellent at school. Luke Cage is an invulnerable man of super strength and impenetrable skin. And the Nova-Man Rocket, which is part of the Guardians of the Galaxy team. Very good characters, there are no animated series about them, films about them are also not made. Except for TV shows, but only about Iron and Luke. Plus, you can meet a lot of interesting people here. In addition to old friends Harry and MJ, we appear in all its glory Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Wolverine, Inhumans, Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Deadpool and many others. Also famous villains: Doctor Octopus, Goblin, Venom, Doctor Doom, Sinister Six, Carnage and petty criminals.
If in seasons 1 and 2 we appear team Spidey, in others already revealed other Squad of Spiders and New warriors. On the one hand, not bad, the disclosure of new characters and their capabilities, but on the other hand, completely forgot about the first.
At first I thought stop shots were fun and original. But then they became too many everywhere, everywhere the spider talks to the viewer. Breaking the 4th Wall is the work of Deadpool rather than Spider. Fights with supervillains are boring and not filled with excitement, as you have already seen all these massacres of them, just repeating the same thing in each series. The spider in this cartoon too often tries to joke, because of this and spoils the atmosphere, the sense of threat from villains, and worry for the characters. And soon the jokes become stupid and flat.
The series is too childish, I'm not saying it's just for kids, but a little seriousness would do it. You can't even call him a teenager. As it were, Spider's story has always been a mixture of good jokes and dramatic moments, and here both are missing. The 2008 animated series looks much better, although there the drawing is slightly inferior, and in moments it looks like a children's, but it is more dynamic, intriguing, and the semantic load is better. But despite all this, the cartoon still wants to watch. Although it did not turn out too good, I do not dare to call it a complete slag. After all, despite good animation and drawing, a large audience of heroes and villains, there are really cool series. For example, an arch about the battle of champions, or spider worlds. They were very intriguing and interesting. You can watch it, but you need to master it, and to the end it is unlikely that you will look.

Spider-Man is one of my favorite superheroes from the Marvel universe. How many films and animated series about the adventures of this hero? Every child knows our friendly neighbor Spider-Man. For example, the 1994 animated series I watched to the holes. I really love him. And this masterpiece will never get bored. It is a pity that this animated series was closed and the finale remained open. Then I watched "Invincible Spider-Man." It was very different from the previous one. Peter Parker seemed different, and it was boring to watch this animated series. So I'm not particularly upset that it was shut down. Sam Raimi's trilogy will not be commented on much either. And so I came across the Great Spider-Man. What we see:
Peter Parker. Well, an ordinary schoolboy (nerd), bullied by Flash Thompson, leads friendships with Mary-Jane Watson and Harry Osborn. And in breaks saves the world from supervillains. Peter Parker (Spider-Man) is a clown. The catchphrase “With great power comes great responsibility” resonates in every episode of the series. If only at the right time. 'Cause it seems like Spider-Man is just saying it for fun so we don't forget just in case. Oh, and after that phrase, he starts to joke again. It is impossible to watch an emergency stop every action and say some unfunny heresy. And these chibi scenes are so completely out. Okay.
As for the story and other characters. It's just bullshit! Suddenly, Harry Osborn becomes Venom. I never figured out why. Well, when Venom first appeared, the symbiote was looking for a suitable body. One could assume that Harry would be temporarily Venom, and later we would see Eddie Brock. But that never happened again. Dr. Octopus looks like a small tramp troll. It was pathetic to look at him. Where is Otto Octavius from the 1994 animated series? There's not a trace left. Nothing like that! Norman Osborn becomes the Green Goblin. And how! It's a real nightmare monster. Aunt May is no longer the nice old lady we used to see. Here she is young, full of energy, goes to nature, goes mountaineering (sort of), etc. and also started dating Phil Coulson (an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Yeah, that's funny. It was also very strange to see Dr. Doom in this light. There is such a serious, one of the greatest supervillains and discusses with Spider-Man how he could not follow the shield of Captain America (here it was a complete lol). Some characters were simply superfluous and did not fit into the plot.
There are pros. Perhaps only one: very good graphics, you can not stick with it. It's generally nice to watch. Many characters are clearly drawn.
In general, the animated series is designed for an audience of 5 to 13 years. You can't expect him to be serious. Nor the normal jokes. I do not recommend wasting time on this horror. It is better to review the 1994 animated series. You will have more fun watching.

Back to schedule. And for what my 8-year-old brother likes.
How do you translate "Ultimate"? Absolute? First? Original? Complete? In general, the word has many terms, but I think that in the context of this cartoon "Ultimate spider man" should be translated as "Kindergarten Spider-Man". Exactly. Or "Disney". That would be nice too.
A cartoon is just some kind of hulking likeness for kindergarten. Personally, I believe that the reference animated series about Spider-Man (not one I think!) was shot in the nineties. Not without faults, but he did his job. It does now, but they decided to replace it with this rubbish.
The plot of what? That our Peter Parker is a schoolboy! One day he is recruited by Nick Fury of The Shield. The spider breaks down, but eventually agrees, and here he is, and his new team of teenage heroes goes to do good.
In the animated series there is the same problem as in the games “Mortal Kombat 4,5,6” — a bunch of characters who are useless and uninteresting to anyone. And they have no biography or charisma from the word “general”. Why come up with new heroes, prescribe them a character, a biography, when you can say, for example: this is a super-man and he can shoot green rays from his hands! Great! A new adversary/ally to the spider is ready! Here I, of course, apologize, maybe they were in some other comics, but a considerable part of such “heroes” personally I saw for the first time!
Next to the plan: primitive and stupid jokes. The cartoonist tries to joke literally every ten seconds. And, my God, it makes me want to watch. A bunch of all sorts of unnecessary comic inserts in the style of chibiki and other stuff that, like, should make the cartoon funnier - it only spoils the cartoon!
Characters also suffered a bit. Remember Venom? Probably the most charismatic villain in the spider cartoons? If you ask anyone, they'll say Venom is Eddie Brock. Nope. The vein here is Gary Osborne. Maybe that will change next season, but why not make Venom Eddie in the first place, because that’s always been the case? Aunt May also turned from a calm, sweet old woman into a young athlete, leading a healthy lifestyle. And I'm not kidding or exaggerating right now. Disney distorts what has not yet changed any cartoon, and there were many!
Very, very annoying is the constant effect of the fourth wall in the film. This is when the character addresses the viewer, as if breaking one of the four walls. There was not a single fight here that the spider did not stop the action and “ridiculously” did not joke, turning to the viewer. The new Spider-Man talks a lot. Even, yes, during the fighting, yes. Even during the most seemingly tense and decisive battles, the spider tries to make us laugh by joking about the trouble he is in now. And I swear, there was no joke that made me laugh. Even Mr. Freeze in Batman and Robin punned funnier.
I repeat: the best animated series was the Spider-Man of the Nineties. Yes, it was designed all the same for children, but there were serious situations in it that make you worry about the heroes. For the positive and even for the negative – so many characters were well written! It had humor, jokes were rare, but in the subject. The villains there were by no means helpless idiots, despite the fact that they were not fighting with a schoolboy, but here. Here, every situation turns into moronic hahanki.
Here we have writers and directors spit on literally everything, focusing on jokes joke jokes, which the cartoon spits us every few seconds. Thought... The cartoon is really high-quality drawing and animation, which deserves praise, but, alas and ah. Beautifully you can draw any nonsense, and because of this it will not cease to be nonsense.
In general, one word is Disney. And to film superheroes is definitely not his calling. I remember in the review of Prince of Persia I advised him to draw cartoons and not to touch movies based on computer games. How did I know I would soon find out about Disney’s Spider-Man?
In the end, I want to say that the cartoon is watchable. It has a beautiful picture and a kind of plot, although jokes can only make a person laugh with Doshirak instead of a brain. If you’re eight years old, this is the show for you.

I have to admit, I don’t really like the character mentioned above. Maybe my dislike of films with Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and others, maybe there were other reasons. Therefore, seeing a new cartoon about Spider-Man on TV one morning, I was a little wary - but I still watched the series to the end. I liked it and decided to watch the animated series in a calm atmosphere at home, on the Internet.
From the very beginning, I had the impression that the Marvelites decided to make fun of themselves. Characters - a group of protagonists, villains, employees of "SHIELD" and others - cause for the most part a smile, insertions with Peter's comments - performed in a different manner of drawing than everything else, give even the most intense and epic moments comedy (in places - where there was really no laughing and even a claim to drama - it looked superfluous). In addition, some well-known comic book connoisseurs characters were deliberately turned into schoolchildren, and on the screen we see the adventures of not one Spider-Man, but a whole gang of young superheroes curated by the famous “SHIELD”. It’s pretty funny, especially at first. In the series, there are also “guest celebrities” from among the Avengers and their enemies – their appearance, we must admit, is not always justified and creates the impression of a passing series, but still interesting (Tony Stark is pleased especially – well, who would doubt). The remaining secondary characters are also pleasing, appear in the right dosage and do not cause irritation. Another drawback is that some storylines are forgotten, appearing in the same series, and also that the ridiculed pathos is sometimes presented in full seriousness.
In general, you can see, the estimate is
