Junk Head 1 is a fantastic short film created by Takahide Hori.
In the distant future, humanity is on the path of destruction. Chemical pollution, radioactive fallout and ultraviolet rays penetrating ozone holes are destroying the environment everywhere and leading to the deterioration of the human gene pool.
Trying to avoid disaster, humans expanded the scope of their daily existence by going underground, but were wiped out by an ancient virus that was sealed there.
However, the development of genetic engineering is encouraging – a special combination of genes has allowed people to reach such terms of life, which could even be called immortality. However, the new atomic structure is unstable. And once every ten years should be reconstructed. As long as it is possible, people will live forever. But instead of eternal life, they lost their ability to reproduce.
In order to preserve the shrinking labor force, humanity began to create new creatures in the image of humans using cloning technologies. But the clones rebelled. A war began that has been going on for 1,200 years. Warring parties live separately - people on the surface of the earth, clones - underground.
The outbreak of a new virus leads to a sharp decrease in the number of people. And it is in the midst of this crisis that it is suddenly discovered that clones hiding in dungeons are capable of producing offspring. To ensure the survival of their species, humans desperately need the genetic information that clones carry. close
