The film of Danelia, a great master, with memorable (except perhaps the inexpressive bride of the main character) acting works, successfully captured the Russian beginning of the 90s. Colorite Govorukhin in the image of an oil and gas businessman-manufacturer from those years - even before the consolidation of the sector by his outstanding figures - with the romance of free enterprise. Bright episodic role of the veteran of the acting workshop (on the set of the film he is already over 80) Ivan Ryzhov in the form of a fragment of Soviet time, now vice-chairman. Brilliantly embodied on the screen then common type of employee of the budget sector Oleg Basilashvili. Charming in its simplicity Prishchepkin.
The film perfectly conveys the feeling characteristic of the first half of the 90s, which later began to disappear, freedom, despite the largely unsettled, in trying different opportunities - both the energetic young protagonist and the character of Yarmolnik are quite typical for those years of confirmation. When the country was beaten and wounded, but alive – not strangled by a suffocating reception, as in its history, with a song at once (with laughter through tears) about two pieces of sausage with a completely politically incorrect text, this happened then in the wonderful genre of girl pop.
