A sudden heart attack killed the talented presenter, wonderful husband and father of two children Roman Trachtenberg in 2009 right in the workplace. Doctors diagnosed a cardiac abnormality posthumously. There is an assumption that the impetus for such a tragic finale was the rapid weight loss of the presenter. In just a month and a half, he dropped thirty-two kilograms. No one ever found out why. Perhaps the stress, and perhaps the requirement of management to lose weight within six months affected his body in such a strange way.
Roman Trachtenberg was buried according to Jewish traditions. His body rests in the cemetery in memory of the victims of the Ninth January in St. Petersburg.
