Oleg Taktarov was born in the city of Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region in the family of an employee on August 26, 1967. He learned to read early, loved novels about adventure and travel. Since childhood, he dreamed of acting in films, but his father saw a boxer in it and sent him to the sambo school, and his teacher realized that he was raising a real champion.
Taktarov more than once became a champion in jiu-jitsu, and in 1994 he won the “fights without rules” at the Riga tournament “White Dragon”.

In 1999, he finally got his first big role and successfully debuted in the film.
