By 1970, Klaus had become the most famous German-speaking actor in the world. His television debut took place in France, where Klaus took part in the filming of the mini-series Jean Christophe. And on the screen of a big movie he first appeared in 1971 in the film “Emilia Galotti”. He later played the villain in The Salzburg Connection. This tape became a failure, but Klaus began his series of characters of robbers and villains. In the collection of roles they played in this role, the main decoration can be called the role of Largo in the famous Bondian (the tape “Never Say Never”).
Klaus Brundmauer is better known as an actor in Austria and Germany than in the United States. America knows him only for the role of her husband Meryl Streep in the film “Out of Africa”, for the role in which Klaus was nominated for an Oscar. For the main role in the film “Mephisto” Klaus Brandauer received the main prize of the Cannes Film Festival.
