Torsuev Yuri Yurievich was born with his twin brother Volodya on Lenin’s birthday – April 22, 1966. His parents named him after Yuri Gagarin. For father Yuri, who was secretary of the Central Committee of the Komsomol and was friends with the first cosmonaut, these were important names.
In the late 70s, the director Konstantin Bromberg conceived to make a film based on the fantastic novels of Evgeny Veltistov “Electronic is a boy from a suitcase” and “Rassie is an elusive friend”. The administration of the Odessa film studio began to actively look for twins for the main roles. Twelve-year-old brothers Vladimir and Yuri Torsuev were the 368th pair. And that was the end of the contest - the choice was obvious. Volodya became Electronics, and Yura became Syroezhkin.
Adventures of Electronics - a film that forever remained in the "golden piggy bank" of Soviet cinema.
Further, the fate of blond twins continued in one harness. They graduated from school, starring in another film - "Neznaika from our yard", but did not go to the theater, and both entered the printing institute. However, from the first year, both were expelled and entered the army. After the army, Vladimir entered Moscow State University at the Faculty of Philosophy, and Yura at the Institute of Asia and Africa. But none of them received higher education.
In the future, Vladimir Torsuev got a job at the film studio “Three Te” to Nikita Sergeyevich Mikhalkov. The brothers starred in two more films: in Nikolai Fomin’s drama “Russian Brothers” and in the detective-fiction fairy tale “The Venetian Mirror”. Unfortunately, both films were extremely weak.
Then the brothers were engaged in business, Yuri went abroad for a long time. Today, the Torsuevs are seemingly changed middle-aged men, but both brothers have always dreamed of making a sequel to their star-studded film, The Adventures of Electronics 2. Perhaps that dream will come true.
