Born in Kherson on May 22, 1920, in a family of actors. From childhood, he saw with his own eyes how a “miracle” was made: scenery was set, costumes were changed, familiar characters were recreated. The boy wanted to be an actor. And although the war put a small pause in his plans, returning from there alive and healthy, with new strength Nicholas began acting.
Since 1946, Grinko was an assistant director, and then an actor in the drama theaters of Zaporozhye and Uzhgorod. Since 1955 - actor and artistic director of the Kiev pop orchestra "Dnipro". And since 1963 he worked in the film studio named after A. Dovzhenko.
Thin and tall, a little slouchy, but charming and kind, Nikolai Grinko, endowed his heroes with the best human qualities.
