Muslim Magomayev is the most popular Azerbaijani, Russian pop and opera singer, composer and actor. Muslim was born in 1942 in Baku. His father was a theater artist, but died at the front 15 days before the victory. My mother was a dramatic actress. Muslim was raised in the family of his uncle. He studied at the music school at the conservatory, where he was noticed by Professor V. T. Anshelevich, who began to give lessons to the boy.

He studied at the music school at the conservatory, where he was noticed by Professor V. T. Anshelevich, who began to give lessons to the boy.
Muslim Magomayev’s first performance took place at the age of 15 in the Baku Sailors’ House of Culture. After school, he entered the Baku Conservatory for a vocal class.
Magomayev’s voice is a bright and sonorous baritone. His talent allowed the singer to step beyond the usual baritone repertoire. So, he sang the Russian folk song “Along the St. Petersburg” and Mephistopheles verses from Gounod’s opera “Faust”. His repertoire included songs such as “Go Back to Sorrento,” “Granada,” “Tell the Girls,” and so on. He was also a great parodist.
Muslim Magomayev had an extremely advantageous appearance and manners. This allowed him to try himself as an actor. These were mostly concert films. He made his debut in Before New Meetings, Muslim in 1963. A year later, another concert film was released called “When the Song Doesn’t End.”
For some films, Muslim Magomayev recorded vocals. They were the "White piano" movies.

In the films Abduction, Interrupted Serenade and Nizami, Muslim Magomayev tried himself as an actor. He worked with composers such as Babajanyan and Pakhmutova. Many of his songs were written specifically for Magomayev.
On October 25, 2008, at the age of 66, Muslim Magomayev died.
