The childhood of actress Lyubov Virolainen (then she was Lyubov Urozhenko) was very difficult. She was born before the war in Borisov, Belarus, on January 14, 1941. My father died at the front. A guerrilla mother and her children went to a concentration camp. We survived by a miracle. The postwar years for the girl were marked by an eternal feeling of hunger. When in the 10th grade she starred in her first film "At the Breaking Point", playing a small role there, and received the first money, she bought white bread. “We ate right on the street, so that everyone could see how rich we live, can buy and eat white bread.” Perhaps the dream of becoming an actress grew from Lyuba’s desire to get out of poverty.
However, the first attempt to enter the theater university ended in failure. The girl in the old dress felt out of place and was too “squeezed” on the entrance exam.
But the dream of an acting career did not leave the girl. She made another attempt, this time successful. She was admitted to the school-studio of Leningrad BDT. She worked there after graduating from the studio. Four years later, Love left BDT, which she later regretted. This was perhaps the most interesting time in her creative biography. The director of the theater Georgy Tovstonogov did not follow the generally accepted (and convenient for directors) rule - the role of the actor should correspond to his role. And gave the young actress a variety of roles. Later in the movie, she, like most actors, became a “one-plan actress”, the ideal of a contemporary: a pretty, kind, loving young woman, a blonde with brown eyes.
The fame of Lyubov Virolainen (by that time she married Yuri Virolainen and took the name of her husband) brought a role in the film by Sergey Gerasimov.
Love a man" . Then there were the tapes “The first day, the last day”, “In broad daylight”, “At a dangerous line”. In total, Lyubov Virolainen starred in more than fifty films.
In the 90s, the collapse of Soviet cinema began, and a new one has not yet been formed, and the type of Lyubov Virolainen was not in demand. She left Lenfilm and the movies. She began acting again in 2002 in the TV series “Time to Love”. /
