Vladimir Nikolaevich Dragunov was born on October 12, 1956. Vladimir Nikolaevich Dragunov was born on October 12, 1956. Fate at the historical faculty of the Lenin Moscow State Theatre Institute, graduated from the theatrical department at this institute and received the specialty of the director of the amateur theater (1978). From 1978 to 1981 he worked as an actor of the Moscow Youth Theatre-Studio on Krasnaya Presnya under the direction of V. Spesivtsev. The most significant roles: Lorenzo, Romeo ("Romeo and Juliet W. Shakespeare", Frol ("I came to give you freedom" by V. Shukshin), Cassio ("Othello" by W. Shakespeare), Artist ("It does not hurt" by A. Aleksin). Together with other performers, Vladimir Dragunov became a laureate of the festival of youth theaters of the country in Tbilisi (1980, the play "It does not hurt").
In 1981 he entered the directorial faculty (joint acting and directing course) of A.A. Goncharova, where the directorial group was led by M.A. Zakharov.
In 1986 he staged a thesis performance at the Theatre on Malaya Bronnaya based on the play by Vitaly Moskalenko “Kolya Loving You” (artistic director of the diploma - S.I. Yashin). The performance was met positively by the audience and criticism. In 1986 he was invited to the Theatre on Small Bronnaya as a director. From 1986 to 1989 he put in three performances: “Thought” based on the novel by Leonid Andreev, “Robinson Island” by A. Yurikhov based on the novel by D. Defoe, “200 versts from the railway” based on the novel by A. P. Chekhov “Chamber No. 6”). The performance "Thought was invited to festivals dedicated to Leonid Andreev (one hundred years since his death) in Nizhny Novgorod and Irkutsk, and was held there with great success. The play "Robinson Island" took part in the festival of small scenes "Theater in a suitcase" in Bulgaria. All three performances were invited to a small tour in Chisinau after viewing in Moscow by the leadership of the culture department of this city (we watched youth performances - "young debuts").
In 1990 he was invited as a director to the Gogol Theatre. In the same year he staged the original performance “Cave action”, in which, in addition to the actors, the Orthodox choir “Blagovest” took part. The script was based on the biblical texts of the prophet Daniel. In 1992, Vladimir Dragunov staged the play "I Love You, Constance" (a play by P. Gusev based on Dumas' novel "Silvandir").
In 1991 he was invited to the Maly Theatre to stage a play based on the play by K.R. (Konstantin Romanov) “The King of the Jews”, and in 1993 – the play “The Death of John the Terrible” by A.K. Tolstoy. In 1994 he was invited as a director to the Maly Theatre. He staged the performances “The Seagull” by A. P. Chekhov (under the leadership of Yu. M. Solomin), “Cloak of the Cardinal” by P. Gusev, “The Last Victim”, “Dmitry Impostor and Vasily Shuisky” by A. N. Ostrovsky.
In 2002, in the Moscow Art Theater named after M. Gorky, he staged a play based on Eikburn's play "The Door to the Adjacent Room". The performance received a positive assessment in the press and is going with success for the fourth season.
In 2004, he was invited by the artistic directors of the course Yu.M.Solomin and O.N.Solomina to pedagogical work at the Shchepkin VTU (here Vladimir Dragunov put excerpts from Don Juan by Moliere and Grumpy Benefactor K.Goldoni).
