Actor Valery Barinov was born on January 15, 1946 in Orel region in a peasant family. Not everyone can boast that he knows the origin of his surname, and in the Barinov family there is an interesting story associated with the surname. In the days of Ona (a couple of centuries ago) served a certain Ephraim, famous for the fact that he perfectly caught wild geese. And the master was not only a hunter, but also a gambler, put his village on the line and lost it. He remained at the gentleman’s house, where Ephraim lived. The hamlet was called a barin, and the Barinovs lived in it.
Valery Barinov first got on the stage at the age of six. In the village, an evening of amateur art was being prepared, and the brisk boy was instructed to read a poem. The villagers accompanied the young artist from the stage with applause. That’s when, as Valery Barinov later told, he had a dream of an artistic path. After graduation, he applied to the theater school. My parents shrugged their shoulders and didn’t argue. I think that probably nothing will come of this. But it did.
After graduating from the Shchepkin Theatre School, Valery Barinov was enrolled in the troupe of the Pushkin Theatre (now the Alexandrinsky Theatre). He played in the Cherry Orchard, Boldin Autumn, Antigone. The next stage in the actor’s career was the Central Theatre of the Soviet Army, where Barinov played one of his iconic roles in Dostoevsky’s The Idiot. Then Valery Barinov’s place of work was the Pushkin Theatre in Moscow, and finally. - MHAT.
In the movie Barinov made his debut in the film about the civil war “Touch”. However, according to Valery, he felt like a movie actor when he starred as Mikhail Kharlamov in Cherry Swamp. The film covered a large time period and in the first scenes the hero appeared in the frame twenty-year-old guy, and in the last seventy-eight-year veteran.
The audience remembered, and film critics noticed Barinov in the role of a little man in the film “Agape”. But the truly famous and popular artist became after the release on the screens.
series "Petersburg Mysteries" where he played Chlebonascensky. By his actions, the hero of Barinov is a notorious villain. But Barinov played this scoundrel so much that the audience felt compassion for him. He was guided by his passion. (One of the “eternal” questions: can love justify crime?)
As usual, the first significant role of the actor determined his role. For the most part, Barinov’s characters are sharply negative. However, he also played a lot of positives, but they are somehow less memorable. Another tradition of cinema is that the writers of negative characters write more convexly and brightly. The positive ones are usually a little “spoken.” /
