The documentary, Wild Horses and Renegades, chronicles the plight of America’s wild horses.
On the example of the story of the main character of his story, a majestic horse and his family who live in the Valley of Disappointment in Colorado, the filmmakers tell the bitter truth of the existence of these proud and beautiful animals. When the Bureau of Land Management separates a horse from his family, sending him to other lands, a truly mortal danger hangs over him. Defenders of wild horses are trying to bring the stallion back to his homeland.
With their film, its creators want to tell the world about the blatant mismanagement that reigns in the last wild state lands. The great symbol of the American Wild West in recent decades was literally on the verge of destruction. close

Lawman is an American western television series originally telecast on ABC from 1958 to 1962 starring John Russell as Marshal Dan Troop and featuring Peter Brown as Deputy Marshal Johnny McKay. The series was set in Laramie, Wyoming during 1879 and the 1880s. Warner Bros. already had several western series on the air at the time, having launched Cheyenne with Clint Walker as early as 1955. The studio continued the trend in 1957 with the additions of Maverick with James Garner and Jack Kelly, Colt .45 with Wayde Preston, and Sugarfoot with Will Hutchins. One year later, Warner Bros. added Lawman and Bronco with Ty Hardin.
Prior to the beginning of production, Russell and Brown and producer Jules Schermer made a pact to maintain the quality of the series so that it would not be seen as "just another western." At the start of season two, Russell and Brown were joined by Peggie Castle as Lily Merrill, the owner of the Birdcage Saloon, and a love interest for Dan. close

Once again, people believe in nature spirits and communicate with heaven. On this empty Great Steppe our hero goes from one settlement to another. His fishing is questionable. In his bag is a small supply of medicines, cigarettes and other remnants of his former life, which can be exchanged for something valuable.
Some time ago, this vagabond found a dying shaman in the steppe who handed him amulets and named him Ugedechi (the name of people who know how to cause rain). With these shamanic amulets around his neck, the wanderer appeared in the ancient land of Ara-Khalha, where it has long been a drought and people do not remember the last time water fell from the sky.
Farmers accept him as a rain caster and offer to perform the ceremony for a fee. The crooked tramp, feeling “easy money”, agrees to perform the action. Gabar Singh, the local “Lord of All Ara-Khalha” who and his mercenaries control the only water supply, learns.
Farmers and herders depend on him for water. Gubar meets with Ugedechi and offers to cooperate. “Let it rain – that’s good!” he said. But let him go when he needs to and in the right place.
An enterprising vagabond agrees to an alliance and the next night tries to escape, taking with him the savings of farmers and the "Sovereign". He is caught by Gubar's vigilante guards. Our hero has been exposed and faces severe punishment. Then he was crucified in the desert, doomed to die of thirst or of the teeth of the cannibals.
Only a miracle can save him. And it happens! The unexpected turn of fate predicted by the fortune teller... close
