From Westbam to Scooter, from Blixa Bargeld to Dieter Meyer: The electroscene converges on one thing - it was Fraktus. Fraktus discovered techno! The first introduced its aesthetics, sound combination and technique. But despite promising initial successes in the 80s and its unique sound, Fraktus remained a myth. Having a huge influence and high praise of partners in the genre of music around the world, the group is still considered to have disintegrated for more than 25 years and its members are considered “their” only in words. What happened to them? What are these three doing today? Is it possible for these pioneers to return? Three completely different musicians are tracked by documents: music producer Roger Dettner finds the German forefathers of techno in Hamburg, Brunsbüttel and Ibiza. He manages to create a sensation of historical proportions: these three at the same table and Fraktus back in the studio! After 25 years, the circle closes: Fraktus returns to the stage. The history of the music scene will be rewritten. close

Blue Note, the most successful movie ever made about jazz, is a testimony to the passion and vision of these two men and certainly swings like the propulsive sounds that made their label so famous. close

RHYTHM IS IT! records the first big educational project of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle. The orchestra ventured out of the ivory tower of high culture into boroughs of low life for the sake of 250 youngsters.
