The TV 14-episode project “Sevastopol Stories” is not a film adaptation of the eponymous work of Leo Tolstoy. Common is only the place of action - Sevastopol. The cycle covers the 200-year history of the famous city with a dramatic fate. We do not want to affect anyone’s political or national interests. This city has taken a firm place in the national and world history, and it is impossible to erase it from memory. We decided to revive some key pages of Russian history and show how it was.
To get away from the standard textbook narrative, we looked at Sevastopol and the most important moments of its history from an unusual side. The film is made in a new direction for domestic television infotainment - "informing, entertaining" (from the English "information" information and "entertainment" entertainment). It mixes the laws of fiction and documentary film. Our journey into history would have been impossible without the main figure, the Narrator. This is a famous actor of theater and cinema, Honored Artist of Russia Igor Zolotovitsky.
We are shooting in places where historical events really happened. We consult with authoritative scientists, use authentic household items, weapons, costumes. Both professional actors and residents of Sevastopol participate in mass scenes. close
