For God’s sake, what about a woman? The director created Juliet – an extremely beautiful and empty girl in all respects. She does not have to be responsible for anything, and money throws around. She's also pretty stupid. I decided that the man who needed her for one night would keep his promise if she kept him at a long distance. We are shown how three men achieve it and cannot achieve it, each in its own way. There's a macho, a devoted romantic and a dad. No one succeeds because Juliet doesn’t care about anything more than instant entertainment. Most of all, she is macho sympathetic, but he needs her for once, and she does not need her anymore. Although Juliet will seriously try with a romantic, so that she is not sent to a Catholic orphanage.
Okay, what's the salt? Nothing. It just happens like this. There are many things that happen, but not for every occasion in life it is justified to make a film. A statement alone is not enough. The film has to express something. And according to the laws of French cinema, if there is a mediocre, inexpressive plot, they will try to deftly improve it by killing someone in the final. In "And God..." tradition has not changed, although it does not end so tragically. But there is one “but” – this trick does not help. The film itself is empty. It's nothing.
The only thing that is nice to see in the picture is the southern France of the 50s. But this viewing alone cannot justify. So is Brigitte Bardot.
