New basement, new ghosts. Despite the traditional storyline for stories about “evil” houses, “Ghosts in Connecticut” turned out to be a film made beautifully and qualitatively. Moments where the main character sees the past, muted colors, an atmosphere of not fear, but loneliness, reminded the game Sablustrum; I also liked the old photos depicting the dead. And the bodies of the dead, inscribed with signs, resembled Barker’s “books of blood”, who were not lucky enough to stand in the way of the spirits. To be honest, I had hoped to the last that what was happening was the hallucinations of a terminally ill young man, an attempt to carry with him everything that was dear. Including family.
The plot develops slowly, all the phenomena that should be in a horror movie occur: light bulbs flash, doors slam, strange figures appear. But the ending turned out to be a surprise; no, I understand that the concept of “in general, everyone died” is predictable to the point of impossibility, but it is the most logical.
So, the film is worth watching, if you want to take an evening of a good story, just a little tickle your nerves, but for the horrors you will have to turn to something else.
