With pleasure (although not from the first time, at first did not go) watched the comedy David Yates "Here are the guests!" / The Young Visitors, 2003, which I definitely wanted to see, because there play three of my favorite actors - Jim Broadbent, Hugh Laurie and Bill Nye. The film is based on the novel, the author of which Daisy Ashford at the time of writing was 9 years old, and it feels in style and simplicity of the plot, in places resembled the Cat in boots (when Mr. Soltina takes his girlfriend to visit the noble lord past the fields on which the peasants work), and in general everything is so easy for them there: he wanted to go to the lord - went, wanted to become a lord - became them well, etc. I enjoyed acting, as always, they didn’t disappoint me. The film is both humorous, satirical (although probably the author of the novel did not claim it), slightly fantasy.
