Plot. It is very common for melodramas, dramas, or even banal, but that doesn’t interfere with the film. Anything that happens in a movie can happen in any of our lives. The film is lifelike, sad, a little depressing, in some moments even want to cry. I will not say anything about the plot itself, since I believe that this is an ungrateful business: to talk about the details of the plot, because all interest in the film may disappear.
The director. I've never heard of Allen Coulter. This is his second full-length work. The first was The Death of Superman, which I haven’t seen yet, but I’ll fix it soon. Prior to full-length work, Allen Coulter worked with TV series such as Sex and the City, The Sopranos, Rome and many others. In the end, I can say that the director did his job. The film was excellent.
The cast. The main role in the film was played by the favorite of many girls Robert Pattinson, known to us for the “twilight” saga. This actor surprised me, he amazingly played his role of a guy named Tyler – a carefree student who can not find a common language with the world around him. Tyler's girlfriend was performed by actress Emily de Ravin, familiar to me from my favorite TV series Lost or Lost. Other roles were played by actors such as Chris Cooper, Lena Ulin, Pierce Brosnan and the beautiful Ruby Gerins, which I liked best. I also really liked the hero named Aiden, played by Tate Ellington, such a cocksucker and a merry man.
Operator's work, musical accompaniment, editing - all this work was done perfectly.
Result. A wonderful film with great actors. Fans of action and films with coolly twisted plots can bypass this picture side, but lovers of dramas, melodramas, and just sentimental people can start watching. You'll love the movie. Advise me!
