I'm not your brother.
One day, Javier receives an e-mail from a girl from Argentina, Rosa, who claims to be her brother, despite the fact that he is an only child in the family. There is no answer. Rosa arrives and begins to tell Javier horror stories about what happened in Argentina in the 70-80s and about the role his parents played in the dictatorship. The young man tries to understand, believe or not believe. The outcome of the film is obvious initially to the “peace-huts, war-palaces” and dictators, too, a total war of destruction. Among Italian directors, it is still fashionable to shoot leftist films against long-failed regimes, while branding everyone and everything with terrible words of quiet “brown plague” or “fascism”, moreover, the further this time goes, the more interesting it is to fight with him and collect awards at various festivals, that’s what Marco Bechis’ film was presented in Venice, despite the fact that the film is absolutely uninteresting, drawn out and completely devoid of any psychological component.
Well, with a movie that seems to bring lofty ideas to the despicable masses, this happens, but the Venice CinemAvvenire award - Cinema for World Peace and a couple of screenings at various festivals in the director's resume.
