An excellent film by Pavel Chukhray, a melodrama against the background of the specifics of the “Khrushchev” of the early 60s in the USSR. The strength of the film, with its “population”, is the acting of all the characters that are at all noticeable in the frame, looking very authentic. Characteristic details of everyday life in the Crimean garrison, where the action takes place, the major children of military commanders with servants of sailors-soldiers. Successfully selected imported sun-life music compositions, hits of those years.
Very juicy landscapes, especially urban in Sevastopol. The peculiar sign of time and place that flashed in the frame is the Latinos exercising in the courtyard, apparently barracks for friendly Cuban revolutionaries undergoing retraining. Of them, very colorful turned out to be well-acquainted with us uncomfortable Rohes, who broke the heart of inexperienced Vera - an excellent work of Dmitry Vysotsky. A bright episodic role of Alexander Mezentsev, a severe gynecologist in a district hospital without anesthesia.
Towards the end of the film, the episodes seem to fade. The plot of the relegated tragic story with the “yellow folder” looks confusing and smeared.
