Some kind of arthouse, I thought at the beginning of the film, the Belarusian dialect is not yet fully understood... what is going on? This is war, what do we know about it? What you learned in school is long forgotten. I feel like I know nothing about the war. The main character, Flera, also does not really know anything about war, he is still a teenager who loves to play and due to circumstances, the most interesting game seems to be war, and the toy is weapons. That is why he is looking for a gun that will help him get into the partisans. He does not know where he is going, what war is and what the rules of the game are. The first part of the film for me is arthouse, because it is difficult to understand what is happening, but it is not for me alone that it is difficult to understand... it is difficult to understand everything that is happening to Flore. His immature mind cannot perceive what is happening rationally, otherwise you will simply go mad, Fleura screams not to hear the sounds of bombs, dips her head in the swamp so as not to see what is happening, but you have to feel ... feel dirt, cold, hunger, thirst, smoke, disgust, anger, despair ... death. Feeling death at every turn. I read reviews, one reviewer wrote, and why show such a black woman in the film? What is the purpose of this film? And the purpose of this film, for me personally, is to hurt us, far from those times, to remember and realize themselves and their values in this world.
