Alexander Nikolaevich was born in 1956 in Volgograd. The actor’s parents were from Moldova. They worked as builders of the Volga-Don Canal, where Alexander was born. After that, his family moved to the Moldovan village of Karmanovo, Grigoriopol district.
After graduation, Byrd was drafted into the army, and then he entered the Lomonosov Moscow State University at the Faculty of Journalism. This prompted in Alexander the desire to become an artist, so he received a diploma, was accepted into the troupe of the theater “Contemporary”.
