I got here somewhere, I can’t remember where, a positive review of Jerry Zucker’s comedy “Rat Runs”, 2001, where I once watched several films, including “Ghost” with Patrick Swayze, and I decided to watch it to cheer myself up a little. But, unfortunately, my hopes were in vain, comedy is a comedy, but clearly not to my taste, rather stupid, as I thought. Especially since the plot can not be called original, recall the film “It’s a crazy, crazy, crazy world”. In Las Vegas, a group of rich people amuse themselves not only with casino games, but with all sorts of bets, one stupider than the other. This time, the casino owner decided to race for a prize of $ 2 million left in a storage room in a small town. The keys to the storage chamber were handed to seven who won a special coin in a slot machine. Whoever gets there faster will get the prize. This is the beginning of these races, during which all participants manage to get into stupid, if not quite dangerous situations. The end happens so beautiful than the participants at first dissatisfied, but then with American enthusiasm have fun together with everyone. Only the organizer, who apparently had other plans, was unhappy. I watched all this action with difficulty, interrupted many times, although the film is occupied by famous actors, not only American, but also English. This, of course, is not shot in full seriousness, there is a lot of satire, but somehow rude, in my opinion, concocted, subtlety was not enough.
