American comedian Jon Lovitz was born in Tarzana, California on July 21, 1957. His father came from a family of Romanian Jews who settled in Jacksonville. The parents of the grandfather on the mother’s side are Russian immigrants, and the grandmother is an immigrant from Hungary.

John Lovets studied at Harvard School, and after graduation he entered the University of California, Irvine, where he learned theater skills. He graduated from university in 1979, after which he honed the art of actor from Tony Barr. In 1984, John made his debut as a pop comedian, and the following year he was invited to the comedy and music show Saturday Night Live, where he worked for five years. This project earned him two Emmy Awards.
In 1988, John played Scotty Brenen in the comedy film The Big, which also starred Jared Rushton, Robert Lodge, Elizabeth Perkins and Tom Hanks. Two years later, Lovits starred as Scotty in the fantasy comedy film Mr. Fate. In 1991, he played Jeff Littlehead in six episodes of the comedy series Married and With Children. In 1992, he got the role of Ernie Capadino in the sports comedy film Their Own League. In 1998, John Lovetts played in

With an extraordinary voice that Lovetts can change beyond recognition, he is a great voice actor. He was first invited to voice the cartoon in 1987. Then in "Little Brave Toaster" he voiced Radio. Then Chula's character in "American Story 2: Fivel Goes West", Calico in the comedy "Cats against Dogs", Tom Baltezar in the cartoon "Eight Mad Nights, Bailey's Dog in "Billions of Bailey", and in the cult animated series "The Simpsons" John voiced several characters at once.
John Lovetts takes part in productions on Broadway, where he made his debut in 2000. He played Henry Winkler in The Dinner Party, directed by Neil Simon. John sang at Carnegie Hall several times.
