The legend of the pianist
I didn’t expect this movie to explode. I thought the movie was going to be good, but not so strong. But I was wrong, he's no worse than the Shindler List. At the beginning of the film I thought so, but then I realized that this film is just great. It is not worth comparing which of them is better, such films cannot be compared at all, you just need to look at these horrors of war. Polanski perfectly recreated this film, the Oscar was deserved, everything in it looked realistic and cruel.
There is enough violence in the film, some scenes are not for the faint of heart. And I think the film is not for everyone who entertains, it is not worth watching. But it’s a real movie, I don’t think it’s worth watching a few times. It's pretty clear. This is Brody’s first film as an actor that I’ve seen, I don’t know how he’s played in other movies, but then he gave 100, his performance is amazing, he played just realistically in the film. Just above all praise, the Oscar deservedly received, it is clear that seriously approached such a film. Of course, music plays a huge role in the film, this is the most beautiful thing that was in this terrible film.
A film about the hard life of Jews, in particular a pianist who had to see all the nightmares of the war. The whole film showed what kind of Germans are bastards, and in the end everything turned upside down when the German asked to find Spielman, then showed compassion for this man. Not all fascists were like that, but among the millions of bad people, kind and just people stood out. I think the pianist really wanted to help this man, but he couldn’t and probably thought about it for a long time. The film turned out to be very heavy, but it is definitely worth watching it at least once.
