It's a wonderful laugh! It's a wonderful love!
A holiday favourite for generations... George Bailey has spent his entire life giving to the people of Bedford Falls. All that prevents rich skinflint Mr. Potter from taking over the entire town is George's modest building and loan company. But on Christmas Eve the business's $8,000 is lost and George's troubles begin.

The best Christmas film of all time. Touching, gentle, about love and friendship. Why it is unknown to me is a mystery. Absolute recommendation from me for everyone. My husband and I watch it every year before the New Year, it is a tradition.

Very kind and life-affirming movie. Watch with family and friends. 🙏
There will be an effect.

“You dreamed of a world without evil, greed, power, selfishness and cruelty. If you can’t change the world with your own hands, find it! Get on the road, long way. It's gonna be tough, I know. You have no place among those who are unable to understand even the elementary words: "Wait! Don't do this! You're hurting this soul! Don't be cruel, please. Stop and think about what you are doing here and now. An infinite number of worlds await you. There may be the utopia you dreamed of on sleepless nights. So find her! Seek no effort, and show the way to this world to those who need it most. But you can stay here. Save those souls who rot under the influence of greed and cruelty. It will take a lot of effort, but you can do it! The same utopia you dream of every day, here it is! But she is sick and the cure will be your dream, the dream of an ideal world, a world that even the Creator himself will smile at. You are the image and likeness of God. Your soul is part of his great essence. Desire will create a dream. Don't stop. Keep going and strive! The Creator is looking at you and smiling. Valery Kotov A song about a dream.

This is a great movie

Frank Capra is one of my favorite directors of the golden era of Hollywood. Well, at least because all of the movies I've seen I've liked. Whether it is the political satire “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington” or the melodramatic comedy “It Happened One Night”, and of course the masterpiece of the comedy genre “Arsenic and Old Lace”,
but not one film has not caused me such enthusiasm as “This Wonderful Life”, if only because so many completely different genres are perfectly combined here, from comedy to drama, from melodrama to fiction.

At Christmas, several people begin to pray at the same time asking for help from one man, George Bailey, who is in great trouble and wants to commit suicide. The higher powers quickly made fun of him and decided to send him a guardian angel to convince George that life is beautiful. But before that, we are shown the wonderful life of our hero.

I will tell you that the film is very emotional. It's just so hard to take. It either hurts or it doesn’t. To be honest, this movie changed me a lot. It doesn’t happen to me very often, in this case, and after watching The Silence of the Lambs, I decided to become a psychiatrist. After this film I began to look at the world much easier, ceased to be an avid materialist, the world began to become much brighter, if I may say so, in general, I began to receive from everything happening unsaid pleasure, all that I had never had in my life. I began to believe in the saying that everything that is not done is for the best. I was re-educated, if I may say so. And remembering, or watching again and again the last 7-8 minutes of the film on the soul becomes so warm, and adds such a huge charge of positive emotions that just for a whole week enough.

And all this is achieved in the last third of the film. The first hour and twenty minutes passed as an average film of those years. There was nothing very appealing about it, except for a few classic moments with the same moon. Anyway, he didn't stand out. But here's the last forty minutes, it's even higher than genius. It's such a great idea that you're really amazed. Everyone wanted to see the world without themselves, I guess. It's easier to see what you've achieved and what you haven't. In this film, it is such a great opportunity to see, if not yourself, then the main character, who...

Stuart played well. Apart from Window in the Backyard, this is his best role. In one film, you can immediately show both sadness and fear and comedic talents. It’s also a great role for Donna Reed.

I would also like to say how skillfully Capra shuffles genres. There was a comedy in front of us, and the drama begins behind it. This changes periodically throughout the film. There must be good things happening. And of course, the final forty minutes are the main culmination of what I just said, from total despair to true happiness.

The film has been shown for about 30 years on the leading channels of the country on Christmas Eve. An analogue of our "Irony of Fate..." It’s a pity we don’t have such a good film, but everything about drunks and about crime is filmed ... The film is very relevant for the new year, and on Christmas I will definitely watch it again.

Masterpiece.
