Goldilocks By the new creation of Disney just can not pass, the incredible power of the charm of the cartoon, beautiful and brightly made, funny and exciting, he is already initially pleasantly disposed to himself. Despite the new approach to the film adaptation of this fairy tale, it does not turn into a mockery and is not subjected to cavity with a change of motives and plot basis. Rapunzel is a beautiful story in which romance and adventure merge into a single and energetic impulse. The cartoon must touch and interest both boys and girls, and of course their parents.
A magical flower that prolongs eternal youth once saved the royal family, and its power is now concentrated in the princess's hair. True Goldilocks did not stay long in the palace, she is immediately kidnapped by a malicious old woman, and raised in the wilderness, in a huge tower, like her own daughter, prolonging her personal youth and beauty at the expense of Rapunzel’s magical hair. The charming girl dreams, of course, to get out of the tower, to get rid of the edifying advice and teachings of her mother, and in the end just to grow spiritually, to enter this world and adult life. The stimulus in this whole story is a charming robber, as if replacing all the expected “Prince Charming” in the plot.
What happens next takes the viewer through a fairy-tale and magical world of interesting adventures, diluted with musical numbers. First of all, I want to note the visual and technical part, the cartoon turned out to be incredibly beautiful, with pleasant animation and a rich range of shades. Comic characters, as expected, caricature (especially good robbers and chameleon), and the central characters are incredibly cute and full of charm.
A fairytale cartoon about growing up and independence, about the desire for freedom, turned out to be easy and understandable, not overloaded, neither moral ideas, nor prolonged dialogue between the characters. The main thoughts, oddly enough, are generally invested in songs, so it is worth paying attention to their text. Ideas embedded in the film, sometimes even double, not straightforward. Therefore, in different situations and, accordingly, different people will at their discretion distinguish the main idea from a particular key semantic scene. And in principle, the problem of relations between children-teenagers who want to get out of parental care, and their parents who do not want to let little chicks out of the nest in any way is always relevant, and no matter how much you say about it, the versatility of such a conflict will always allow you to find something new, and not be afraid to repeat the old.
A problem with Rapunzel is the fact that even with all the importance of musical numbers, it is unlikely that at least one of the songs will remain in memory for a long time or there will be a desire to buy a soundtrack. The songs, though spectacular, successfully fit into the plot narrative, but little catching the heart and not remaining a fixated motive in the soul. As well as a rather weakly disclosed three-dimensional potential, of all 3D-effects, I want to highlight only the final flight of flashlights from the boat, shot close-up - only it feels real 3D. And not the most classic and expected ending also does not necessarily please some "novelty", and may even quite puzzle. But this, in general, is not so important, except that you want a sequel, or even not one. Not only are there few such beautiful cartoons when you see them, but also the plot can be continued further, if the authors have decent and interesting ideas on this score.
