The main character is a little African boy living in France with a kind grandfather. All would be well, but he misses Africa very much and is therefore unsociable. Grandpa works at the zoo, where he brings his grandson. There, a boy sees a one-eyed wolf in a cage. He hates people. He lost all his loved ones, and he ended up in a cage, and it was all the fault of these disgusting, cruel people. He misses his will very much. And also this boy who comes to his cage day in and day out and stares at him. But over time, both man and wolf realize that they are truly soul mates.
