Tale of missed time On Christmas Eve, Terry returns to his small homeland to say goodbye to his father. A missed opportunity to reconcile with his father and understand him makes the hero plunge into memories of his childhood. Especially in the city announced the neighbor’s girl Catherine, who grew up, prettier – and for some reason completely forgot that many years ago she was already here and shared with Terry one fateful day in the life of his family. And then there is a parable about forgiveness, understanding and what is more valuable than family: quite in the spirit of Christmas.
Despite a completely disastrous love line, which is seemingly the axis of every first seasonal picture from Hallmark, this TV movie pleasantly surprises with an unbanal plot and a very thoughtful motivation of the characters. In any situation, they remain humanly imperfect, but logical, which is incredibly valuable for the story of falling and forgiveness.
In some places, the viewer is too openly pressed on pity, trying to give the fates of the heroes as much tragedy as possible. At the same time, some of the characters quickly find themselves on the sidelines of the plot, suddenly disappearing (like the girl Terry talks to on the phone at the beginning of the film) or simply becoming a talking scenery (like Catherine’s daughter).
But it is the story of the “angel” that moves the whole plot and excuses the unnecessary scenes working on the resuscitation of the spark between the characters. And I think that it will catch even the most callous viewer. This is the case when I want the plot twist to be successfully copied on the big screen – I would be very interested to see the interpretation of this story in the hands of masters. You can also watch the TV version once.
