Campion is a television show made by the BBC, adapting the Albert Campion mystery novels written by Margery Allingham. Two series were made, in 1989 and 1990, starring Peter Davison as Campion, Brian Glover as his manservant Magersfontein Lugg and Andrew Burt as his policeman friend Stanislaus Oates. A total of eight novels were adapted, four in each series, each of which was originally broadcast as two separate hour-long episodes. Peter Davison sang the title music for the first series himself; in the second series, it was replaced with an instrumental version.

British detective series Campion, 1989-1990, season 2. The film adaptation of the novels by Margery Ellingham, and this is their second adaptation, in 1959-1960, the first adaptation of two of her novels was filmed. This is such a traditional British series with their inherent series, especially in the retro style, color and good actors. The main character - a certain aristocrat, acting under the pseudonym Albert Campion (Peter Davison), is engaged in the investigation of all kinds of murders that occur with enviable regularity in the places where he comes and where he is invited. He is helped in this case by his servant Lagg (Brian Glover), oddly enough, a former criminal. He also has a cop friend, Oates (Andrew Burt), with whom they collaborate to help each other. And Campion prudently, given the nature of his activities, rents an apartment next to the police station. Things are not particularly complicated, but sometimes you have to break your head, but each time Campion finds an answer to a question, sometimes, however, quite unexpected even for him. The actors play well, watching is also quite interesting.
