The beautiful English storyteller Donald Bissett was born on August 3, 1910 in Brandford. He wrote his charming stories for children commissioned by English television and performed them on live radio in children's programs. These radio and, over time, television programs became very popular, both among children going to bed and among their parents.
A professional actor, Donald Bisset always accompanied reading his new works for children on the radio and on TV with hilarious comments.
The transfer lasted only a few minutes and enthusiastic children demanded to continue. Soon published in print and the collection of his fairy tales “Read yourself” (1954), which was called “I’ll tell you when you want.” Next were popular collections “I’ll tell you another time”, “I’ll tell you someday” and others, equally popular. These editions, perfectly illustrated, were always accompanied by funny and expressive drawings of Donald Bisset himself. Over time, new collections appeared, in which the long-known fairy tale heroes of his beautiful fairy tales acted.
One of the brilliant characters of Donald Bisset was the famous tiger cub “Rrr...” His second fabulous invention was the hero of his wonderful stories for children, an interesting beast - "Crococat", which combined a small furry kitten and a cunning African crocodile.
His works delight our children in cartoons, presented by us with beautiful screen adaptations, such as: The Girl and the Dragon, The Forgotten Birthday, the famous Crococott and many others.
As a film actor, Bisset took part in 57 films and television series that were shown only in England. Donald Bisset visited our country, where he visited several kindergartens and pleased our children with his beautiful stories. The wonderful storyteller and wonderful actor Donald Bisset died on August 18, 1995 in London. /
