I liked and disappointed the film at the same time.
He managed to combine good moments with a faded story in general.
Good points (without significant spoilers):
- beautiful exhibition staff and in general operator work;
Actors, although the script did not allow them to reach their potential;
- good individual scenes:
(1) a scene on the bridge;
(2) machine guns in headlights;
3) the scene with Spectre and Bond - when he was surrounded and he was in the center of a mosaic on the floor;
4) the subsequent fight and in general all the game moments associated with the new American agent (played by Anna de Armas), which costs only their joint drinking in the middle of a shootout. 😎
Bad moments (the scenario is generally bad, but you can highlight specific points - spoilers are present):
1) weak and completely unclear motivation of the antagonist;
(2) Bond's unmotivated distrust of his girlfriend;
3) timekeeping provided that the plot sags (I have nothing against long films - on the contrary, only for, but there should be interesting moments or character development. . .
(4) Bond's "unkillability" right up to the end of the film - Bond has never been hurt in the whole film, except for the antagonist at the very end with a conventional pistol... 🤷 ;️
5) the ending of the film, or rather not the ending itself, but how it was explained: you have to open the mines to blow up everything - and they have already laid mines in the laboratory and killed the scientist. 🤷 ;️
You can take the island into a blockade, land a full-fledged landing, OK, before that they had a "neat" rescue operation, but then... .
6) dialogues - although there were a few good punches between the agents, they were generally unimpressive.
Verdict: of course, it was worth going to the movies on Bond, but without hopes for a chic plot - just enjoy a beautiful and sometimes fascinating picture.
