In the days of enlightened Europe, the black boy Angelo is brought up at the court of the Austrian emperor. He lives a full life, even becoming a Mason. Except that he is not allowed to enter into relations with white women - so that the affair with a European woman that has just begun immediately stops. This is, of course, Angelo’s personal tragedy, but in general, the plot is seen as an attempt to hide more serious racist acts – such as human zoos, where children of other races were in cages and visitors threw peanuts at them – even in the 20th century. Very hypocritical movie.
